Lovely location Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We were the only ones staying on the property, so romantic and beautiful. The staff was helpful and the food and wine were great too.

The property was beautiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. If you are looking for a place out of the way, easy to drive to and quiet with views of the water this is the place. Note: the facility does not have a full menu for dining options but lots of options near by.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is an absolutely beautiful property and the service was fantastic.

Fantastic place , great stay but the billing was an absolute mess! This was paid via hotel . Com rewards and card 5 months before so coming completely paid for the room. 10 days before the stay the hotel took a massive pre authorisation charge which withheld money in my bank account. After much trouble to contact hotels . Com it got released, then on check out they tried to bill the already paid rooms , again I had proof they had been paid so all was good . Paid our extras then the next day the hotel billed me for the already paid room! I have now paid the room twice over and if you count the pre authorisation I paid it 3 times! Am awaiting now to get my money back from the hotel but due to a holiday it’s not straight away, but I will have to pay my bank charges. This had been a farce and ruined a great stay!

This Chateau is even more stunning in person. Located about a 20 minute drive from downtown Bordeaux, it offers privacy and relaxation on a quiet river. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful with all requests and the breakfast was delicious. They even upgraded our room for our honeymoon! We look forwarded to returning for years to come!

Stopped at Chateau Grattaquina in our way through France. Arrived late but manager happy to make food for us. All the COVID restrictions were evident, room was clean and very comfortable. Surroundings were excellent unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the pool or river boat trips but will definitely go back. Definitely recommend if you want to spoil yourselves.

Like being way out in the country when you are actually not far from downtown Bordeaux. Great decor, views, staff...

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff are fantastic. The rooms are warm, inviting, cozy, bright, comfortable... the list goes on. The bathroom was just so relaxing. The grounds of the property were to die for. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly love to go back. It’s also a short 15 min drive from the airport and to Bordeaux Centre. The hotel is situated right close to some of the best vineyards and restaurants.

We enjoyed a tranquil 2 day stay here before leaving France. We had a beautiful well appointed spacious room overlooking the river. The furnishings were elegant and though modern in keeping with the style of the exterior of the chateau. The only thing we were not keen on was that the toilet was separate from the bathroom on the other side of bedroom and there was no sink to wash hands after using the toilet and we had to go all round bedroom and through 2 doors to wash hands? ! The location is out of Bordeaux but closer to the wine region but a taxi into Bordeaux cost 25 euros. We actually took the boat ride into Bordeaux for one trip since we had a reservation for dinner down town. It was fun but we thought the price for 70 euros each was excessive. Due to the heat the beautiful pool was a welcome relief and it was relaxing to spend an afternoon on the loungers by the pool. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurts breads, croissants and eggs bacon and cheese and ham.we ordered a plate of charcuterie and cheese to eat one lunch time by pool- it was a delicious bargain! The staff were pleasant and helpful when asked, but did not initiate any interactions including on our arrival, which we found strange after all the other welcomes we had had at the other hotels in France. However, we would return for the quiet relaxing surroundings.
