Chateau Grattequina

My friend and myself took a nine day vacation throughout the south of France. When we arrived to this chateau/hotel we were blown away by the very warm welcome and professionalism of the staff. The view across the property is sensational! The grounds are breathtaking!! Calm and peaceful...Wether strolling around the never ending greenery... or chilling on the hammock by the water, biking around the property... we enjoyed it immensely!! Breakfast was served with a smile, fresh saueezed juice, omelettes, veggies, yogurts, and freshly baked bread on premises. I urge you to visit and stay at this property. It will remain on our minds and in our hearts for a very long time to come... hoping to visit again very soon !!

Fabulous hotel with excellent relaxed service. Superb breakfast focusing on a few really high quality choices. Large comfortable beds. Beautiful location. A little remote for Bordeaux but very convenient for airport.

This is a gem of a hotel right outside Bordeaux. It is 15 minutes in an uber (or by boat) from the centre. It has the most magical swimming pool surrounded by a stunning garden. The rooms are large and well equipped. The staff are lovely. It’s in a very quiet area. There is wine on tap 24/7. The only thing that lets it down is the room decor which appears to have been done by a colour blind ikea salesman. Our room had grey walls with beige and burgundy curtains. There was a rickety floor lamp leaning at a 45 degree angle mixed with beautiful antique furniture. Most extraordinary because the public rooms have been exquisitely updated. If you are not too design conscious you will love it though!

Perfect stay!!

The location is perfect if you want to stay out of the city and have an easy start off to visit the vineyards of Bordeaux. We had a car and needed adequate parking. We got that. Stately and elegant, absolutely beautifully restored , gracious grounds with perfect interior decor and immaculate service. Thank you Quinton and the lovely young woman on duty 5/16/19 who help us with a vineyard tour reservation. Rooms are lovely, large and comfortable. They do need to add luggage racks for the rooms and a trash can in the room not just the bathroom. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

Everything about the property was beautiful. It was a wonderful place to stay.

Just a great property, beautiful grounds and chateau. The staff was wonderful and so helpful. We will definitely stay again. Just far enough away from the city but close enough to enjoy it all.

Total Rip-off. Expensive dump. We couldn’t open the windows, even though it was cold outside, because there were bugs everywhere. The furniture was disgusting (see pictures— torn as though from a junk shop). The beds were creaky, small and awful. Breakfast was a supplementary rip-off at 18 euros for the same thing served everywhere else (we declined it when we figured out what was going on). Steer clear of this joint.
