Hotel Bracara Augusta

Right in the center of the city across from a beautiful city park. The staff was experienced and very helpful. Be sure to see the giant BRAGA letters just down the street from the hotel.

It is nice hotel close to everything. Within 5 minute walking you are in the city centre and shopping area.

A great family owned boutique hotel! We enjoyed warm hospitality and thoughtful service. The restaurant was excellent, well balanced menu, fresh ingredients, and well cooked. The location was very convenient, almost right in the middle of the city center. We enjoyed the hotel!

Bracara is the closest hotel to the main pedestrian area of Braga and is separated from the road by a wide strip of parkland so there isn't the usual hustle bustle associated with hotels on main streets. Rooms are large with renovated bathrooms. Their restaurant is excellent however food portions are very large. They also offer guests a 10% discount.

I did really like this hotel (very nice people) but the room was too small and the furniture was plain. The bed was also uncomfortable.

Good place to stay if you want a taste of small town Braga charm. The town itself is beautiful.

The hotel is a half an hour walk downhill to the Riverfront, longer back depending on how much Port you've had :-) A bit out of the main eating and drinking area but central. The original older hotel is the main building at the front, with a newer annex at the rear via a glass walkway. The newer rooms at the rear are bigger. It's clean, quiet, handy, overall a very fine hotel. I've stayed with this group in other hotels of theirs, always good.

We booked a double room and were upgraded to a suite which enhanced our satisfaction, improving what was already an excellent deal.
