Tania-Frankfurt Hotel

The room was clean and the facilities were good. The hotel were perfectly located for me, as it was very central and closed to local landmarks, restaurants, bars and clubs - however not so close that it was too noisy. The staff were exceptional! Christian communicated with me very well before, during and after my stay, and Nadia gave the best welcome to the hotel and my room that I have experienced! If (when) I visit Bucharest again, I will certainly choose to stay here.

The hotel is ideally located in the center of the Old Town close to all the sights, cafes, bars and restaurants. Christian, the manager, was extremely helpful with endless tips. I would stay here again.

No complaints

Centrally located if you are going out at night in Old Town. But unless you are a party animal, there's no advantage to stay in this hotel. Simply book ahead and pay a bit more to stay at the Hilton, or less at other places further outside of Old Town. If you like to sit outside, there is a small deck on the 3rd floor that has short walls for privacy. There were nylon straw seats. It wasn't comfortable or attractive but it was better than nothing, and unique among accommodations I saw in Old Town.

This was a self-serve style accommodation without lobby staff. My overall complaint is that my room, a "suite," was expensive for just a few amenities: a small amount of soap, a TV that could not provide a clear picture whatsoever on any channel, a goofy shower door, a wi-fi signal that did not reach anywhere convenient in the room, and nowhere realistic to hang wet clothes. Building Entrance: I could only enter the building by reusing the link from the reservation email msg. Each time it would refresh a web page that worked better by keeping it open. This method was supposed to be optional. The primary method described never worked for me (Chrome on a Pixel 6). Room Staircase: The standard suite I stayed in had a spiral staircase connecting the living area to the bed and bath. It took some effort to avoid hitting my head on the underside of the steps. There wasn't any padding to prevent injury for such a low and obvious danger to the head. The reason the underside is so low is because the staircase is a small diameter. The entire spiral staircase was loose and shook when using it. There seemed zero probability that the staircase would fall. However, the minor shakiness at each step made it a little more difficult to step confidently down the tight diameter of stairs. The individual steps did not have the standard surface area. Staffing: Staying 4 days and nights in September, I never saw any employees in the lobby. The exception was a night security guard. When I phoned the "office," they said they would have housekeeping bring me something, which arrived some hours later. When I reported that the TV did not have any channels visible, I was told that there aren't any other rooms available to change to. I used Google Translate to ask the housekeeper for additional coffee packets and kindly received several, arranged neatly, and new glassware.
