Tania-Frankfurt Hotel

This is a clean, lovely hotel right in the heart of Bucharest's Old Town. There are shops and restaurants as soon as you step out of the hotel. The room was big and comfortable. Christian was a very gracious and helpful host - he was always available to help answer questions - in person or via Whatsapp. The cost was excellent - much more affordable than many other hotels in the same vicinity.

The bed was two singles put together rather than a double and it was a bit springy. Might need to be replaced. Also, my toilet ran and a light burned out. Perhaps it was just this one time or maybe a few repairs need to be done. Despite some nice windows, the outside sounds are loud - maybe offering a fan would help?

The bed was really bad and thin.

I checked in before my arrival with link sent by the hotel to my WhatsApp, staff greeted me and showed me my room, was friendly and kind, I strongly recommend Tania Hotel.

A bit loud at night, but the hotel provided ear plugs, other than that its pretty much the most central location you can find

Great staff. Cristian was very helpful. Just be aware you have to walk to the hotel from the main road. We had lots of bags to drag in the rain. Our bad luck. But help was at the door and help up the stairs. No elevator. Everything is around this hotel. Bars, food, music, musems and a Starbucks.

Centrally located in the old town area. Yes, it is noisy, but the hotel has done a lot to dampen the sound and that was not a problem. The staff was all very friendly. Being able to check-in on my phone was convenient.

Nothing is bad, but nothing is particularly good. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. There are just two, low quality pillows. There were just one set of towels for two people. The shower flooded the bathroom badly, and there was no way to avoid it. There aren't really enough surfaces to unpack anything, neither in the bathroom nor the bed area. There was one small trash can for the whole room and bathroom. There are notices hung on every wall -- no smoking fine notices, no guest notices, check out time notices, etc. The TV is hilariously small and mounted way up on the wall making it comical to watch from bed. Nothing about this place was comfortable or relaxing. I would not stay here again.
