Art Hotel Varese

Art Hotel is a good hotel; there are many bad hotels. The Hotel was once a Villa, but somebody spent a lot of money making it into a hotel. Whoever designed the hotel was on somekind of egotisitical trip but was not thinking very much about the practical requiremrnts of guests especially spending more than one or 2 nights. Room layout, storage space, crazy design of wardrobes, escaping water when the showers are in full use all cause problems. The staff- friendly but generally not much sign of professionslism, most of them probably students. Luckily, because not many guests staying in hotel, we managed to survive the visit. Good location. I wanted hotel close to centre, so that was fine. Fortunately the price was good as the Art Hotel does not match my expectation of a 4• hotel. Sorry Art Hotel.

Historisches Gebäude mit gelungener , teilweise witzigen Kombinationen von alt und neu - spannend. Dies findet sich auch im Restaurant Angebot wieder. Hier könnten die Preise für das Essen zwei bis drei Euro weniger vertragen und es wäre dann immer noch gut bezahlt. Dies täte der Qualität keinen Abbruch.Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse gut. Nur der Service war am Sonntag wegen den Spätaufstehern kurzzeitig etwas überfordert. Alle Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen sind super freundlich. Negativ : Man hört die Geräusche der Straße im Zimmer ( bei gekipptem Fenster ) und die Gräusche der Mitarbeiter ( Zimmer war auf der Rückseite des Gebäudes ). Nur der guten Ordnung halner - an dieser Seite wird auch gegenüber zur Zeit gebaut. Baustelle war natürlich am Wochenende nicht in Betrieb. Fazit : es war ein guter Start in unseren Urlaub. Wir würden dort wieder übernachten.

Super gelegen, man kann in 5 min in die Stadt laufen, sehr nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück!

Wir besuchen jedes Jahr Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Rho, das Branchenereignis der Einrichtungsbranche in Mailand. Immer buchen wir ein anderes Hotel in einer Stadt maximal 80 km von der Messe entfernt. Kriterium ist der Stil des Hotels, die Lage zum Stadtzentrum des jeweiligen Orte und ganz wichtig ein sicherer Parkplatz für Ferrari oder Aston Martin. Das Art Hotel Varese, obgleich sehr puristisch erfüllt dieses Kriterium. Besonders toll ist es, dass man zu Fuß in 10 Minuten in der Altstadt von Varese ist.

Main problem was that the hotel bar and restaurant was shut in the evenings of the stay. Apart from that hotel was generally good.

The room and the bathroom were spotless, and the fixtures and furniture were great. The shower included both a handheld nozzle and a rainfall showerhead, plus top of the line shampoo and conditioner. The attention to detail in the hallways and the artwork throughout the hotel added to the upscale atmosphere. I wished I had longer to enjoy it!

Very nice hotel, rustic country feel to it. Very clean and a pleasant stay with friendly staff. Would come again next time I am in Varese. Only 3 minutes walk from old town centre

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was good as well. The room was a nice size and very comfortable. Unfortunately we were situated close to the cleaning area and thus could hear the washing machine/tumble dryer and the cleaning ladies from very early (think about 6am) in the morning which is not ideal if you are on holiday!

Here for my daughter's wedding. Fabulous hotel.

Arriving by hired car we found the signage a bit obscure.The reception and other staff were all pleasant and helpful. We were allocated a good sized, comfortable room on the second floor - considerate for a seven night stay. There was plenty of clothes storage space, but some of it not the easiest to use. Good range of continental breakfast foods, running to ham, cheese and scrambled egg; nice croissants and cakes. Hotel is situated about 10 minutes' walk into the town centre, with several restaurants within this walking time, and is well situated for driving to both Lake Como and Lake Maggiore. We had a very pleasant evening meal in the hotel. Would be happy to stay at this hotel again if we were returning to this area.
