Lawrence's Hotel

The old world Englishnes was charming. The location was ideal, and the surrounding gardens and trees were beautiful.

We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very ordinary and disappointing in contrast to the local Portuguese alternatives. Breakfast was very good, but the hot cooked breakfast was only warm at best as the warming devices were not monitored to maintain the heat.

We needed a last minute booking and were fortunate enough to find this beautiful hotel! A 5 star experience!!!

Locatie

Parkeren is niet makkelijk. Ik had van te al 2x een berichtje gestuurd maar nooit geen antwoord op gehad. We vonden gelukkig een plaatsje in de straat waar we (gratis) konden parkeren. We wilde savonds het restaurant reserveren, dit was ok en toen we weg wilde gaan om het dorp in te lopen, zei ze oja vergeten maar er is vanavond een besloten feest dus het restaurant is gesloten, dit hoor je toch te weten denk ik.

Il pubblicizzato garage (fondamentale la prenotazione anticipata) è in realtà una sorta di vecchia e piccola stalla, lontana dalla struttura e terra di nessuno. Sta agli ospiti, senza nessuna assistenza, incastrarvi 4 o 5 macchine, sperando di riuscire poi a uscirne. Anche raggiungerlo non è facile, in mezzo alle strette vie antiche piene di turisti. Non esiste inoltre un’area di carico e scarico bagagli, bisogna arrangiarsi come si può. I servizi e i comfort offerti non rispecchiano gli standard di un cinque stelle.

Cool hotel, right in the centre of Sintra. Really easy access to Sintra, and a parking space! Can you free the poor fish from the tiny bowl that it is in

Nice room and comfortable beds and pillows, availability of a bidet (now it is not fixed to the floor)
