Have take away meals on the terrace, the kitchen area and enjoy the splendid view of Palermo, at a reasonable price. Then go back to your room and work on the free internet, a rarity in Italy! once you find it in the bustling Palermo, you will enjoy it. Massimo: please put a big sign outside showing that you have arrived!

My parents just got back from their holiday in Palermo. They were more than satisfied with Sky Sleeping. The location is great, everything is walking distance from it. The room was very nice, clean and bright. The most beautiful thing about this b&b is the terrace overlooking the city. I booked this holiday for them and the staff of Sky Sleeping helped me make it a perfect one.

After a string of older buildings and a truly awful room in downtown Palermo, this place was a breath of fresh air. It’s on the 8th floor of an apartment building (yes, there is an elevator!) with excellent views from the terrace. The photos on the web site are accurate. My room was a good size, furnished in Scandinavian modern, including a big wardrobe and a desk. The bathroom was also a good size, with a nice shower. The owner provided lots of helpful local advice, and let me leave my bag after I checked out as my flight didn’t leave until late afternoon. I had been a little worried about the location, but it is walking distance from downtown, and served by buses (although not so many on a Sunday afternoon, the rest of the time they are frequent). And I loved the street - with greengrocer's stands, butchers, fishmongers and bakers it was almost like a little market, and along with dress and shoe shops, tabacchi and supermarkets felt like a village within the bigger town.

After a direct contact with the owner by phone (very unpleasant), he requested that I send an e mail in order to book. I have proceed 3 times and I did not get a single answer. Incredible for me. Finally I found an other place very well placed near the Station.

Small B&B on the 8th floor of a building. Decorated very nicely, very clean, owner very nice & accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. In a great location within walking distance to everything. The worst thing I could say about this place is that the breakfast lacked in proteins. Nonetheless, there was a great selection of carbs!

Overall its a good place to stay - value for money, fairly well located (10 min walk to centre) and clean, modern rooms. On the down side the breakfast is a bit limited (pre-packed pastries, coffee and cereal). Palermo itself is worth a visit for a couple of days but no more than that. Driving in the city however is a nightmare...

We only stayed here for one night, but enjoyed it very much and would certainly stay here again in future. Sky Sleeping is located on the 8th floor of an apartment block which is about ten minutes walk from Teatro Massimo, and therefore a good base for exploring the sights of Palermo. The hostel has been recently renovated, and is bright, vibrant, modern and very comfortable - the finishing touches and extras (such as a hairdryer, mini-fridge and hydro-massage shower) make the place feel more like a hotel than a hostel. Our room was perhaps a little on the small side, but fine for us, and had a small terrace with fantastic views over the city. Breakfast was also served on a terrace, and constituted a range of sweet pastries as well as bread and a choice of cereals (which is a bit more varied than other places we have stayed in Sicily, where the only option is often pastries). The hostel felt very safe, and was surprisingly quiet for Palermo (probably due to being on the 8th floor). The owner, Massimo, was welcoming and professional, and happy to accommodate our request for an early breakfast as we were catching an early flight that morning. Sky Sleeping is a little more expensive than some other hostels located in the same area, but if you're happy to pay a bit more for the extra comfort, finishing touches and fantastic views, then we would highly recommend it.

Overall great experience. Somewhat difficult to find because street is just north of Michelein city map boundary, and few streets in Palermo are sign posted. Use of kitchen facilities if desired. Great views from terrace. Breakfast above average for Sicily - mostly packaged breads, but plentiful.

I stayed at a B&B in Palermo, Sicily called 'Sky Sleeping' and I'd really recommend it. It's entrance is basic - it is part of an apartment block BUT when you get up there you will be delighted. Recently refurbished it is beautifully decorated and has a roof terrace where you can sit and look over the roof tops of Palermo. I have never bothered to write a review before but I really was so impressed with this place which was excellent in all ways - location, value, friendliness, decor, cleaniness etc etc.
