The reception staff is rude and the room is below par from others. If given a chance to return to HK....I won't stay on this place. The only good thing about this place is it's in the hear of everything.

We had booked at UK Hostel at their discounted offer and found it better than the other hostels we had booked before. The staff who was present at the time we arrived was courteous and so we called him "Uncle". He was accommodating with our requests and cheerful every time we pass by. To Uncle, thank you for the hospitality and also to Auntie who gave us a complimentary present courtesy of UK Hostel.

Room was extremely small. Totally different from the picture shown. I booked a double room but inside was only 1 single bed size which they told me that's the size of a double room. If you weigh more than 70kg & taller than 170cm you definitely can't fit into their bed. No shower gel, no shampoo, dirty stained towel upon request, hot water only from time 9am-12nn & 9pm-12midnight. Room no window, smelly & tiny toilet, just like a prison cell. Smelly smoking & noisy guest lingering outside room, can't really sleep well.

Evening male receptionist very eager to make an extra buck. Had to spend 15 minutes over the phone to get help from booking agent. Finally no extra money paid. But was put into a lousy + smelly 2 bed room for the 1st night with no accessories. Requested to change to single room on 2nd day. Condition better, but without accessories. TV remote control doesn't work and never fixed.

The place was filthy. Overall a very unpleasant stay.

Not friendly staffs/cashiers.. The room temperature was hot and not comfortable to sleep

I booked a single room for 24-25 September 2016. When I arrived, the lady collected a HK $100 deposit from me. Then she said the room I booked is spoilt. She showed me a mixed dormitory of 8 beds. I told her that was not what i booked. She said if i want a single room i need to add HK $150. On the pretext that she is going to change the bedsheet for me, she disappeared. I was left with a rude, abusive man who seem to be the caretaker. He said either you stay or get out. The girl had left and not contactable. At 9.30pm what choice do I have?

It's a budget hotel, so don't expect 5 star service. Just like any other hotel of this type, if all you need a shower and a good rest then this will do you just fine. You also won't get much assistance from the foreign English-speaking staff; so stick with the friendlier locals and try not to take anything personal if you don't plan to be there long.
