Sant'Agostino Guest Rooms

Very nice and helpful staff. Our train was late but the owner still met us and transported us to the hotel. Easy walk up to the San Francesco santuario from the hotel. Bed very comfortable, we slept with the windows open to the cool night air. Nice little balcony with birds singing in the trees.

Very nice room in a nice part of the village. The manager is very service minded but does not speak much english. However, it works anyway. Be prepared that if you arrive by train a taxi may be impossible to find. We were lucky. We called the manager who had a friend who came and picked us up. It is not that far but it is uphill from the station. On our way back we walked.

Room was clean and just as described. Breakfast was very good. Elevator helped since we were on the 4th floor. Parking was very close. Air conditioned and VERY comfortable bed!

Lovely place in a great location close to the busy backstreets of Paola. Both staff I met were great, very helpful with everything. Breakfast was flexible as was checkout (within reason of course). Only a couple of negatives which were I couldn't get the wifi to work but I think that language barrier with the password and also I wasn't sure that my door (room XII) was locked from the inside, not that there is anything to be afraid of, just some feedback. All in all great experience. Sorry to have only stayed for one night.

We only had 1 night in the area and could not have been more happy with our stay at Sant Agostino. An employee was waiting for us at the train station to take us to the hotel. She provided a few quick recommendations on where to go in our limited time in town. The room was clean and fairly spacious. Simple, but decent breakfast, and the same employee was prompt in getting us back to the train station when we needed. If i make the trek down to this part of the country again, I would not hesitate to stay at Sant Agostino.

There is nothing wrong with the hotel but we arrived by train and tried follwong Google's intrctions. Unfortunatelu, it doesn't know about the road to the hotel and we took a very long route up a steep hill. When we evetually arrived, we found a freindyl man on the desk and a spacious room. The wifi didn't reach the fourth floor where we were but that was ok.

This hotel is not down by the beach but near the entrance to the town via the highway. It's a tall, narrow building but the rooms aren't bad. They are what they are, a cheap room to stay in. The room we stayed in had some water leaks. The guy at the front desk is nice and was always there but doesn't speak a word of English. It's southern Italy, though, so that's not a big deal. We all know what we're there for in terms of going through the check in and out motions. Overall, I'd do a night or two here again but not an extended stay. Skip the breakfast and go elsewhere. Hotel has wifi but it really only works in the lobby area. Occasionally it worked in the room.

Very comfortable room, spacious. Vincenzo was very kind and explained where and how to move around the beautiful old town of Paola, including my visit to the St. Francesco sanctuary.

Although the hotel states that it is close to the train station, it is really not at all.(not a walkable distance, anyway.)  It is way up the hill, and the route is not at all direct.  We opted for taking a taxi for a reasonable flat in-town fare, and it was money well spent.  Room was big, had a great a wonderful ocean view.  Bed was comfortable. Seemed recently renovated.  Staff did not speak English.  Breakfast had very tasty homemade jams.
