Sant'Agostino Guest Rooms

After driving by the hotel once, we finally parked in a nearby lot and were surprised to find we were across from the hotel entrance. We entered the hotel and went up to the lobby, which smelled of stale tobacco. Our room was OK, but with a strong wind the heater had a hard time keeping the room warm. The hotel may be new, but the building is old. The room had visible signs of repair work. The water pipes may have contained warm water, but we did not persevere long enough to find out for certain. We had a good nights sleep, but this hotel did not make us want to return.

We stayed for one night having booked but not found a map of the town. The hotel was quite hard to find and involved climbing quite high above the railway station but when we got there we found it had lovely big, comfortable, airy rooms and an excellent sea view. It did all seem very new. There was a computer in the room but we couldn't access internet, no bowls for cornflakes/muesli at breakfast time and receptionist was using the Visa card machine for the fist time. However, it was a friendly place.
