Hotel Ochsen

Der Aufenthalt im "Ochsen" war sehr angenehm. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sauber und das Essen gut. Nur weiter zu empfehlen.

Preis/Leistung stimmt, zur Straße raus sind die Zimmer etwas laut, tolles Frühstück, gutes Bett

Un bello hotel ubicado en una zona residencial, por alguna razón había escases de opciones para esa noche en Stuttgart y como queríamos conocer el museo Mercedes-Benz, decidimos hospedarnos. La habitación cómoda, todo funcionaba perfecto, muy limpio, excelente atención del personal, el desayuno muy bueno, en general muy bonito, pero la ubicación para visitar las zonas turísticas muy mala... para llegar al museo tuvimos que caminar como 20 minutos a travez de una zona industrial y para lñlegar y volver a la estación central y el viejo Stuttgart teníamos que usar el metro (el mejor que usamos en nuestro viaje por 6 ciudades) por 20 minutos...

Everything okay, but restaurant service far too slow. Waiting for menu 5 minutes, waiting for food 1 hour, waiting for check 20 minutes. Although the food was good I left the restaurant with a bad taste... :-(

The picture of the hotel is a little different from what you see from the street - but once we found it, we were pleasantly surprised. This is genuinely a 4 star hotel. The staff is nice, the room was large and beyond expectations - had just about everything we needed except laundry facilities to do your own laundry. I am sad to say that finding food was a bit challenging (as the hotel restaurant was closed due to an illness?) but found an AMAZING place down the road (Wangener Besahex) that served amazing Southern German dishes.

Overall, a very nice hotel. The structure itself is old but the internals have been updated. The only complaint was weak air conditioning but at least it did have it. My room was on the corner so sun exposure may have been part of the problem. The location isn't very good since it is located in an industrial part of town and most everything a tourist wants requires the tram. However, the tram station is only a few blocks away so you can get where you want with relative ease, although it'll take a bit longer since your trip may require a connection. Overall, I didn't consider this a big problem. There aren't many nearby restaurants in walking distance. We only stayed one night and ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant. We ate outdoors which provided a very nice atmosphere. The food was good and the meal was enjoyable. The room itself was in good condition and they add small touches that show that they want to please their customers.

Great staff,fair location. The rooms are a little small but clean. Wifi is good and the breakfast is good. I would stay there again no problems.

The hotel is well located in a quiet suburb of Stuttgart. It was about a 20 minute drive to the maIn train station in Stuttgart. It has an excellent restaurant attached with very high quality dishes to choose from. The breakfast has a large selection of cold meats, cereals, breads and condiments along with fresh fruit and coffee and an assortment of teas. The desk staff are very helpful and the hotel has a typical family run ambience about it that big chain/brand hotels cannot match. There is alsofree parking behind the hotel or on the street if no spaces available behind the hotel. NB: the street parking is metered from 0800 hrs. I would definitely return to this hotel again and is highly recommended.

Very comfortable hotel in excellent condition, helpful service, conveient for concert hall, free parking and thoroughly excellent breakfast. Trams to centre run right outside. Reasonably priced. Could not fault.

The best thing about the hotel is its location very close to Inselstrasse tram stop. It takes about 20 mins to get to Stuttgart city centre on the tram. It also looks pretty from the outside. The worst thing about the hotel was the bed. It was quite uncomfortable. It was also quite disappointing that there wasn't a permanent member of staff at the reception and I often had to wait and call a staff member who would be engaged in other duties! Also be warned- the only television channel in English was CNN!
