It was very central to everything

It was good but there were a few details that could have been better

The Motel was close to city, affordable and okay

The room has a strong musty odour when I walk in, and the carpet would benefit from a deep clean. The wall is dirty throughout the lounge and bedroom. The decor is outdated and tired-looking. I would hope the owner does a better job of cleaning and finds some time to scrub all the walls down, room by room.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly receptionist, who made us feel right at home. To our surprise, he generously offered us a complimentary room upgrade without us even asking, which was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely start to our stay. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and exceptionally well presented. It was clear that great care had been taken to ensure everything was comfortable and inviting. Thank you to the team at Abbey Motor Lodge for making our visit to Christchurch so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning, and without a doubt, this will be our first choice of accommodation whenever we're back in the city.

Room clean, bed comfy. Great shower - lots of pressure

In unit 1 by the road, Saturday night, very noisy. Advised that we would check in at 6-7 pm. Website said office open till 8.00pm. Office unattended. Locked. Advised to txt a number- no reply after 10 minutes. Rang door bell, no response. Then phoned the number - all sorted after that, they advised our unit number and door was open.

I was very happy with the room I was given. I got an upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom which was incredibly nice of the owners. My room was private and had what I needed.

Pretty minimal things overall, a bit of dust and cobwebs, no milk for coffee in my fridge, tea towel wasn’t left after room had been serviced. Otherwise very happy!
