Villa Ceconi by Das Grüne Hotel zur Post

We stay at this hotel for one night. It is difficult to find the front desk which is 200 m away from the hotel at a different location. And this is the very first hotel I stay with without air-conditioning

Nothing fancy, but it's nice and clean. We stayed two nights and we were comfortable. The road noise is a little loud, but I like sleeping with background noise anyway. Good parking and walking to the city is easy.

I may have missed it, but I wish it would have stated that check-in was a block away from the hotel we were staying at...It was really inconvenient to drive to the hotel (in the rain) drive to another hotel to check in...then drive back....As frustrated as the initial "welcome" was...Overall I would stay at this hotel again...its just too bad, all the amenities is at the other hotel...

Hotel was OK but too pricy for the facilities we got.

The reception is 200 metres away in another hotel. The is a sign on the door indicating this. We stayed 2 nights at the end of June 2014. We did not have the hotel breakfast. There is a pizza shop directly in front and little bistros etc nearby. A bus to the city also is directly in front. 3.70e for a 24 hour multi trip ticket. Off street car park was good and we had good wifi

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is easily reached from the old town and the airport by a frequent bus, the rooms are clean and nice. The checkin and staff are down the road 150 yards and across the street. There is a fantastic bakery directly across the street, a good grocery store a block away and the Stiegl brewery with a nice biergarten a few blocks away.

Stayed here for one night when visited the lovely city of Salzburg. Although the hotel policy states the check-in time is till 22.00 pm it was no problem when we arrived after 23.00 pm. The friendliness of the staff is very nice. The rooms are renovated in a modern style, very quiet and clean. For the visit of down-town it is a bit far though, still a good quality/price/location combo.

Nice little hotel, we liked it and will be back

We stayed in a four person room that was a very good size and accommodated four adults no problem.The bathroom was also spacious and enjoyed the radio inside here as well. This hotel was a quick 5 min bus ride to the city center, with the bus stop right outside the hotel. Parking for this hotel is conveniently located right in front, however the check in for this hotel is a block down the street at a different hotel. Was a great space, easy to drive to and easy to get to and from the city center. Would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a place on a budget.

They said it was a 15 minute walk to the old city, but it's more like 30, and then you're still going to do a lot of walking, so I'd recommend driving to the parking at the tunnel or taking a taxi (about 6 euro). The rooms are old but decent. The breakfast buffet costs extra (because it's all organic), but they don't have anything hot. It's just bread, cereal, and cold cuts. For a family of four to have beds and breakfast is nearly 200 euros.
