Hotel Maximilian

The staff was very knowledgeable about local attractions and was great about giving advice.

The hotel is an older facility that is very charming. Though is older it is very clean. It has a unique layout with many balconies and areas to escape to. There is a foosball and ping pong in the basement that the young people enjoyed. The staff is incredibly friendly and it appears to be a family run facility. We had no issues with English there either. Lastly, we ate at their restaurant each night as they have a good menu and they were able to specially prepare food for me as I have a gluten allergy which was a great way to enjoy their delicious Wienerschnitzel.

Stayed one night. Hotel is a little remote, but quaint. Good restaurant and free breakfast. Furniture in the room is old. Room has to be locked by key both inside or outside of the room. Queen bed was made up of two twin beds pushed together. No refrigerator, very very slow wifi, no tub - shower only. A little skimpy on the complimentary toiletries. Free parking was a plus.

The location was wonderful! Staff very friendly and accommodating! Spoke great English and were very helpful!

we loved our stay here. staff is very friendly and accomodating. this is in the middle of fussen/neuswchanstein and garmisch, so pretty easy to get to both from here. also with the aktiv card included in stay, we were able to do several local things for free that were great including gondola ride to top of local mountain to do hiking. play area inside and out which is great for kids. great european breakfast, and dinner was very good as well, not that expensive as some other comments made. would definitely come back.

Stayed one night at Hotel Maximilian on our way to Munich for Oktoberfest. Very well run facility with wonderful sitting area with a full bar. Breakfast in the morning includes all of the area specialties. Room is very nice. Hotel location is very close to the castles in Fussan.

We only came for the night as we were heading to castles the next day. Give yourself a day to explore the area as there was a lot to do and we did not have the time to enjoy. The hotel restaurant was really good. The room was a little dated.

This hotel is beautiful and warm and the staff are delightful. They go out of their way to be gracious and make you feel at home. Public transportation is limited but the bus drops you off at the door and there is an inexpensive taxi service during the day. Will definately stay here again. Plan on returning for a romantic vacation. This is the perfect place for couples and while we were there, one American had returned with his girlfriend and planned on proposing to her there.

Beds are a little hard even for Europe
