Hotel Maximilian

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff and excellent restaurant in a beautiful setting. Perfect!!

It was terrible experience! We booked a room before arriving, but once we were there the front desk lady told us that the room was already taken by someone else without informing us in advance!! In this case what is the reason to make a booking!!! So me and my pregnant wife had to spent long time to find a place to live in the night! Anyway, I was really speechless about the service quality of this hotel, as the staff was not friendly at all!!

My husband and I and our 2 adult kids (19 and 21) stayed 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. There were so many fun things to do and they were all free thanks to the complimentary Active Card. Gabi even showed us where my son could go skateboarding! The meals were all delicious. We were so active during the day, we went to bed early, and our kids did not miss the lack of night life or English TV channels. We will always have great memories from this beautiful place.

Had a great one night stay. Friendly staff, great atmosphere ..bedrooms comfortable & terraces to sit & admire the scenery. Relaxing stay . We ate in the restaurant & we could not fault the quality, service & cleanliness . They capture the traditional nature of Austria & they have good knowledge of the area. Wifi is good in the lounge areas & outside . After a excellent evening meal we sat outside watching the world go by, our needs where attended to blanket to wrap around lighted candles, waiter service ect..breakfast was plentiful with good choices of cereals/ breads ect. Overall we had a fantastic time & would love to stay longer next time we visited Austria this hotel get top marks from us, we would not hesitate to return..keep up the good work.

Right from the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome. Staff are fantastic. Our room was spacious & clean. We had tea in the restaurant - Tried some local dishes - very tasty & well priced. Breakfast was 6star. Beautifully presented, lots of choice including healthy options plus good coffee! There was an indoor playground for our 6 year old son. Washing could be done for €6. We had been travelling for 3 months so had a lot to compare it to - this is a great place to stay for weary travellers! Wish we could have stayed longer. About 20 minutes drive from Neuschwanstein & Hohenschangau castles.

Really nice, family oriented hotel with super service. Our room was very comfortable, the location was convenient to the sites and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

Hotel Maximilian is a great hotel just across the German border in Austria. It's a perfect launching spot for the Romantic Road in Germany, or a tour of the Alps. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, although they are very busy with multiple tasks so not always readily available. The complimentary breakfast buffet is outstanding, and rooms are very spacious.

The owner of the place is lady of great personality and character. Her staff is friendly and very helpful. Hotel is VERY child friendly which helped my wife and I a lot. Room was comfortable but because iy was in top floor under roof i could not stand up in the shower.

We were only staying one night in this area and I am pleased we chose this lovely family run hotel. We received a very warm friendly greeting and the whole place had a nice atmosphere about it. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and also breakfast (which was included in the price). The food was really good and there was a great selection.

Bathroom is very small, when I was sitting on the toilet, my leg was next to the hot heating radiator.
