La Mimosa Bed and Breakfast

Attentive service.

When we arrived we were hot from the walk from the train station. Had followed googles direction, but don't, instead stay close to the wall and you won't have to cross difficult streets. Were given Popsicles when they saw how hot we were. They also printed off tickets for us. They gave us a map and marked all of the things that might be of interest. Just very accommodating. Breakfast was in a pleasant room with a good variety of options. Room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

The cousins who own and operate the B&B go above and beyond in being helpful and friendly. The decor is really fun. Breakfast is excellent. I rated '4' for condition because of smelly drains, but don't know whether that was actually a maintenance issue or a city issue that couldn't be helped. It's a fairly short walk to one of the gates in the city wall.

A true experience of Italian hospitality and service!

This was a friendly place to stay. It appeared to be located away from activity of Lucca yet it was in town. Quaint town with a big spirit!

B&B Mimosa is quaint and nice and close to the walled section of Lucca. We stayed as a family of 4 and had more than enough room. The only complaint would be the one of the beds was very old with springs sticking through making one bed not so comfortable but aside from that it was great, quiet, and the breakfast was good.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Mimosa. Giuseppe was amazing! He was very kind and very informative. We will definitely stay there again.

Charming Bed and Breakfast, breakfast was outstanding! Location is minutes from the historic part of Lucca and one of the main bus stations (which is the easiest way to take a day trip to Pisa). Owner provided wonderful details about must see sights and great restaurants.

The guy at reception was very nice,gave a clear explanation. On arrival , I was surprised to know that there are 2 locations of the hotel property, one outside the wall of Lucca, the other one inside. We stayed inside. The hotel is in a good location, on the pedestrian main street , easy to reach everywhere of Lucca attractions but you have to carry the luggages to the room. It's not far from the lucca wall which has a big car parking. Lucca is a charming town. Shops open late until 7.30pm, so you can stroll around , have dinner, enjoy the night, back to the room in the heart of Lucca and feel like Italian .

The Mimosa is run by a friendly staff who are very helpful, but the rooms need updating and the location is noisy. Lots of traffic going by. Loaner bicycles were not in the best of shape.
