"Very noisy"

4.0

I would recommend this hotel with reservations. The lounge is very nice. We did not pay for breakfast, so I cannot speak to that. Pros: Very nice lounge. Cons: the sound on the television kept cutting out, so we could only watch it for 5 minutes at a time. As soon as it got too warm, the sound would go away. The walls were very thin, and there was a crying baby in the room next to us. We got very little sleep. The room was very small, which is not that big of a deal. It was clean. The WiFi was incredibly slow and was very patchy. The toilet ran forever. Some of the things I have commented on could be room-specific, and if you are lucky enough to have quiet neighbors, it wouldn't be bad. So, while I would not personally stay there again, I wouldn't dissuade someone else from trying it out.

"Lack of control over the noisy guests"

4.0

The condition of the bed rooms are lack of quality. When we stayed in our rooms, we could hear all the voices of people next door. It was very loud and noisy including a dog barking inside the hotel through out the night. We were expecting a quiet evening to celebrate our 28th year wedding anniversary. It was completed ruined by staying at the Amber Hill Guest House. My wife was upset due to lack of sleep and concerned about the safety of our daughter and niece sleeping at Room 3 at the Guest House. It was a horrible experience!

"A Good Value"

8.0

We had a nice family room (room for 4) that came with a kitchen. We didn't need the kitchen, but it was a nice option. The breakfast was fine, nothing special. The baked goods were packaged. The price was good, and we got what we expected for the price. The location was very good, off a main road into town, and near student housing. Overall a nice place to stay.

"Easy access to Galway, Salt Hill and Connemara"

8.0

Great breakfast and room service throughout our 3 day stay. Good facilities on hand with internet access, computer access and extra Sky TV options in the lounge area. Surprisingly quiet given the number of rooms and occupancy during our stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Me and my beautiful girlfriend stayed at the amber hill guesthouse for a weekend and we had a great time. We felt at home straight away, the staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean and big.

"Beautiful House"

10.0

The accommodations are just beautiful and so clean! Bed is hard as a rock though. Actually gave both of us backaches. Galway is a really confusing area to drive as well so we got lost a lot on our way back to the B&B.
