"Nice B&B"

10.0

This B&B was in a nice, convenient location. The staff was very nice and willing to help out any way that was needed. The rooms were nice and clean. Our only complaint (because it was a windy night) was that the outside awning kept banging throughout the night.

"All that we needed"

6.0

Amber Hill was clean and comfortable and roomy for 3 adults. The kitchen facilities were a bonus. Unfortunately breakfast was not included in the room price but could be purchased for an additional 8 euros. Would recommend this hotel.

"Wonderful--Loved this B&B"

10.0

Check in was easy. Staff were more than wiling to accommodate. Very homey atmosphere with sitting areas where one could watch TV, videos etc. Coffee, tea available. Rooms were very inviting--great beds and big bathroom. Our room was on the front facing traffic, and didn't hear any street noise. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night!! The breakfast was excellent and for only 6 euros--cooked to order and an excellent display of pastries, cereals, fresh fruits, juices etc. Would definitely recommend--Hope will be able to stay here again.l

"Would not stay again"

2.0

Whatever happened to the good old Irish B&B? When checking in we were greeted by a foreign lady (possibly eastern European) who just lacked the warmth and friendly personality that the Irish are famous for. There was no Irish hospitality here at all. The location is in a rough neighbourhood next to what looked like council flats. A taxi to city centre is approx €10. The room was adequate but shabby and dated. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Bathroom basic and could do with a proper clean. Bed linen and towe/s again well used / worn. Would never stay here again and could not possibly recommend it.

"Amber Hill guesthouse"

8.0

The room was reasonably small and the location of the hotel was a fair way from the town but it was a very pleasant guesthouse and the service was excellent

"Perfect B&B"

8.0

This B&B is just what you would expect with some nice amenities including free parking and WiFi. Plus there is a not common area to have tea/coffee and relax. The rooms are small but when you're in Galway City you shouldn't be in your room anyway - plus you have the common area for an escape. The location is not walking distance to Galway City but it's a 5 minute drive or about $10 cab. My only complain is that the water in the bathroom didn't get very hot and the lighting wasn't great. Other than that I had a great stay and would definitely come back.
