"Nice Room, Good food, Close to Bus"

10.0

The breakfast was great, our room was great, shower amazing, and close to the 405 bus. A bus is necessary to get downtown but it's a short ride and the buses take cash (and give you change). Very much worth the money.

"Very comfortable!!"

10.0

It's a bit away from everything except the Salthill Promanade- which is a 15 min walk away or a cheap taxi ride. However, buses close by for a short ride downtown. Aside from location, and the price was a bit higher than I was used to ( I suppose being in Galway?) the guesthouse itself I found beautiful, clean, comfortable and quiet. I liked it very much. And the staff were very friendly and knowledgable!

"Poor choice"

2.0

Over priced but even if it was literally free, we would not go back. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable and that is being kind. Tub was so narrow and rounded a shower was difficult. Breakfast was disgusting. Not even tongs for bread which looked bad in the wrappers. The jam etc was in partially used jars. Kitchen looked dirty. No concerns for sanitary procedures. (we ate at McDonalds)

Because of the location of the hotel it would have been nice to have a bar.

"A great stay but a wee way out of town."

8.0

Arriving by car there was difficulty locating this hotel. The club map location shown is incorrect or hard to follow. Ensure you check out alternative maps. Parking was off street outside the main entry. Staff were efficient and "Irish Friendly" and we were shown to an adjoining comfortable and well appointed 2 bed cottage with huge TV , which was a bonus as they had a big tour coming. The B+B hotel is comfortable and although we didn't use it, the breakfast area looked welcoming. Bus was very handy into and out of town. The town of Galway is a mix of modern and ancient and well worth a stay. The shower had drainage/emptying problems. After traveling throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic this problem appears more often than not and showering with water above the ankles is not that great. No aircon but not needed as the rooms are able to be well ventilated. Beds were harder than we would have liked. A walk to town via the seafront (about 4km) and bus back is a good summer activity.

"Nicest bed and breakfast"

This place was beyond our expectations. This place was nicer than a four star hotel.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Definitely the fanciest place we stayed throughout Ireland. The room was beautiful, with the largest bathroom in all of Europe. They had a great little covered smokers cubby with a heat lamp and chairs. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay.

"Great Base in Galway area"

8.0

This place is located about 45-min. walk into Galway city center, shorter walk to the Strand hill area. It makes a great base for travelers because it's in a quiet neighborhood, and feels like you're truly home. You can relax in their huge lounge where coffee/tea, tv and internet is always available. Rooms are spacious and clean. The shower is strong and also spacious. The grocery store is walking distance - about 15 minutes. The staff is very helpful and flexible. We messed up on our schedule and they accommodated our need to stay an extra night without any problem. We couldn't find a laundromat so we sent out some of our clothes for a fee. They came back clean, but haphazardly folded. It would be nice to have some kind of facility nearby - we didn't mind doing it ourselves. Good location/value. Would definitely stay here again.
