Laticastelli Country Relais

This hotel is a series of rooms created out of buildings from a medieval - era village. Consequently, they are all different. Our room was very large, with an ante-room then bedroom. The bathroom had a Turkish bath (which we used twice, very soothing after a day walking around hills). Rooms are furnished with period pieces but have a tv, kettle and fridge. The real feature is it’s beautiful pool area and stunning views. The staff are also wonderful and very attentive. Downside - you absolutely must have a car, it is way out of town. And there are few restaurants. The bed (twins pushed together) was hard and the toilet was so high that I needed a footstool! And we could hear the people above us - every word. Tip - there is a main road nearby so request a quiet room.

This has to be one of my favourite places to stay. Age and beauty are combined in this gorgeous 11th century property. Central position for travel toTuscany wineries, and the magnificent countryside. The restaurant is 5-star!

the hotel is charming and the staff are welcoming. the bedroom was elegant and spacious, but it looked out on to a nearby superstrada, which meant there was no silence. the gravel-covered entry and exit roads are not suitable for street motorcycles or cars with low ground clearance.

die Location ist sehr speziell. Ausserhalb vom Dorf über eine Schotterstrasse hinauf zum Hotel, über 100 Jahre alt und vermutlich ein ehemaliger Bauernhof. Sehr idyllisch mit super Aussicht (vor allem vom Pool aus) auf die wunderschöne Landschaft der Toscana. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr rustikal, in einzelnen Zimmer wäre mal eine Modernisierung zwingend nötig (z. Bsp alter Duschvorhang). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Küche sehr gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet hingegen ist eher dürftig. Aber alles in allem guter Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in die Toscana.

O hotel definitivamente não vale o preço que custa. Pelas fotos e avaliações eu esperava muito mais. Pontos negativos: O nível de serviço é fraco (não dão a atenção e explicações aos hóspedes na forma como se espera de um hotel de alto nível). O quarto é espaçoso, porém os móveis são velhos, o piso é simples e tem um cheirinho de mofo. O hotel não apresenta áreas comuns interessantes que não sejam a da piscina. O café da manhã é mais ou menos, bem abaixo do esperado. O hotel fica localizado na beira de uma grande rodovia, por isso é possível ouvir barulho de caminhões e carros passando a todo instante, o que tira muito o chame do lugar, pois esperávamos uma propriedade mais rural, e portanto silenciosa e aconchegante. Pontos positivos: a piscina é bem bonita e tem uma vista legal. O restaurante para jantar é muito bom e não é caro. Resumindo: o hotel não oferece um padrão condizente com o preço da diária. Fiquei 20 dias na Itália, passando por 14 hoteis diferentes, e esse foi, sem dúvida, o pior custo benefício de todos. Por esse mesmo valor, fiquei em hoteis muito superiores em outras localidades na própria Toscana.

El mejor atardecer de la Toscana. Hermoso lugar para quedarte varios días y desde ahí recorrer todo.
