I recently had the pleasure of staying at Galini Pension, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. I actually ended up staying longer than expected. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The hosts Bernice and her son, Andreas were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout my stay. The accommodation itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The overall ambiance was peaceful and quiet—the luscious garden was beautiful. One of the highlights was the location—conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, yet tucked away enough to offer privacy and tranquility. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, hassle-free stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience! I will definitely be back.

The staff were SO genuine, helpful, kind, and friendly! I felt so welcomed being there and the hospitality was amazing. Truly felt like a family! There were adorable cats all over, and I enjoyed the garden shared space. My upgraded room was very nice, with an outstanding view of the ocean!

I chose the cheapest room my first 2 nights, and let’s just say you get what you pay for, flickering lights and bare minimum comforts. But then on my last night I had to switch rooms and they upgraded me for free! That room has an amazing view and was WAY nicer! If you’re staying here, definitely upgrade. The worst thing about the property though is the location. If you’re going to Ios, you’re definitely going to be in Chora till very late. Buses only go until midnight, taxis every night can get pricy, so you’d preferably want to walk home. Well this hotel was very out of the way, far from everything. It was quite the journey home through darkness, especially if the map tries to give you a “shortcut.” There were moments as a female solo traveler I felt a bitttt unsafe coming home from a night out so far away from town, one night I even stayed out till sunrise just so I could avoid the struggle.

A very pleasant experience at Pension Galini. Very beautiful space with a courtyard ideal for relaxation. The rooms were clean. The staff were very helpful and gave us very good suggestions on how to spend our days on the island (restaurants, beaches, clubs, transportation)

They can add a mini fridge in the rooms

The owners and staff were absolutely incredible and accommodating. My favorite part about the property itself was the beautiful courtyard where it was very nice to socialize with others staying here. We actually liked it so much we extended our stay twice.

Absolutely nothing it was perfect.

Very close to the beach around 3 min walk , also close to the port bus stop around 8 mins from property. Stayed with 3 friends and ended up making 9 more because of their communal garden. Staff were extremely kind and accommodating. Would love to stay there again
