Hotel Silvester

Whenever flying in or out of Brnik airport ( the nearest to Ljubljana ) on early or late flights, my husband & I stay here. The hospitality is wonderful, parking is available or will be arranged as you require. Drop-off and pick-up to/from the airport is part of the business. The rooms are comfortable & clean. The breakfast good, and the staff are obliging. I haven't checked out the wellness parts, I will next time.

Not someplace i would come back to

too small room that they gave us , no shampoo or other amenities in the room, person who checked in us needs to learn how to smile to guests. i dont recommend,

it stinks, small room, smaller badroom...

We were given a large family room, I guess it was an upgrade. We had lots of room to sort our luggage before flying home; It was a little old but clean enough, pleasant, rather sweet. The owner, Silvio, and his son, Benjamin were most hospitable, looking after our every request. The small restaurant was cozy; the food good, and moderately priced. For example, he poured a lovely piney oil into the sauna, as we did not bring any of our own. The small spa is a delight- a Finnish room and a Turkish room ; and a small whirlpool. The relaxing effect had me sleeping like a baby on my long flight!

the owner of the hotel is not so friendly, slept there for 2 days in a very small room, could get more for what paid, sometimes it looked that the owner was upset without no reason. standard breakfast affordable place to stay

Our flight landed very early in the morning after not sleeping much the night before. Since we couldn't check into our Airbnb until later, we decided to catch up on some sleep here. We only stayed for the 3-4 hours we slept but I wouldn't have felt comfortable to actually stay a full night. It reeked of cigarettes and just felt dirty overall. Not to mention we had to wait 20-30 mins for someone to come to the front desk in order to check us in. It was a strange experience. On a good note, there was a city bus stop directly across the street. If you're coming here to catch up on sleep, cool. If you're staying a night or two, I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

It was a nightmare, which started with a distinctive smell in the so called reception area. Then the room itself... I have seen bomb shelters in a better condition. But what was the worse was that during my early departure, the property was locked up almost completely, and when I eventually found an exit door (some side door, perhaps to owner's part of the building) I was lucky to take both pieces of luggage with me, as there was no return back inside Towards the end the owner of the "hotel" showed up in the above mentioned exit door, totally surprised by my rather nervous attitude and demands to explain why the property was on a lockup e.g. in case of fire. That property does not deserve a single star!

Very friendly helpful English speaking staff, good breakfast, nice balcony. Our economy room was small but cozy for a great price. We only had 1 night there on our way to the lake Bled and Vintgar gorge. We had a good nigh sleep.

I have been with my family 7 nights in this hotel. Advantages: 1. Very tasty food and a big selection. 2. Close to Ljubljana (20 euro for taxi and 25 minutes of driving). 3. Billiard table (you can play until 22:00/10:00 pm). 4. Cheap price. 5. some rooms can contain a refrigerator and an air conditioner. 6. Free WiFi (very slow connection from room,lobby recommended) Disadvantages: 1. The hotel is in a cowshed so you smell bad smells (if you understand what i mean) even from your room. 2. In your room you can find mosquitoes and Insects on the ceiling that of course can sting you. 3. Very uncomfortable pillows and beds so it is pretty hard to fall asleep. 4. The cows sometimes can wake you up early in the morning by their noises (dependent where is your room located).
