Hotel Silvester

We used this as a brief overnight stop before flying home from Slovenia and will be returning for longer. The place is a rambling building with rooms that sleep 3 so great value when travelling as a family or group. Set in a peaceful hamlet it is in a great spot for exploring and within easy access of the airport. Breakfast is extra but was worth having and the owners were really friendly.

My colleagues and I stayed here for business for one night as we had to be close to the airport. The hotel is reminiscent of an older Austrian chalet; photos on their website are accurate. It has a Tex-Mex restaurant, so we enjoyed fajitas in Slovenia (!) My room was spotlessly clean and had a view of the mountains (though other rooms may have a view of adjacent buildings, the parking area, etc.). What separated this hotel from others is service: The owner and his family seem to be on call 24/7, driving the shuttle, cooking meals, etc. I forgot my travel alarm in my room and he sent it to me free of charge, a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is secluded but exactly what we wanted. The room was a little tight and the beds were rather hard, but overall very comfortable and clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet were fine if you liked what they were serving but we prefer to order from menus.

Excellent value for money

We often visit hotel's private sauna. It's clean, nice and they have good prices. Furthermore they have the best Mexican food (you must try dessert with mushed bananas!) ;) We cant wait to come again...

It is a convenient spot for an overnight stay as it's only about 5 minutes to the airport. The owners of the hotel have both a van and a smaller vehicle and will drive you themselves for a small fee. The rooms are really quaint; every one is different. Many have balconies. Some have a second level small bedroom with a ladder that would be great for children. Nice clean rooms with a decent sized bathroom and a shower that had excellent force and really hot water.

Staid here on the last night of a motorcycle trip. Staff was excellent. They put breakfast out early for me and then drove me to the airport (5 minute drive) so I could catch an early flight out. Dinner the night before was surprisingly good at the cowboy and Mexican restaurant.

Clean, inexpensive, near the airport. Good bed. I'd stay there again.

Nice and clean hotel, large rooms, small village near the airport, a bit far from Ljubljana but a good choice if it suits your trip.

We stayed here the night before we departed Slovenia because it is so close to the airport (under 10 minutes away). The owners are very friendly but the general condition of the hotel is mediocre. I didn't expect too much more but felt that with a bit of updating the experience could be 100% better. For example, room furnishings are simple and fine but hallway carpeting is all very worn. You are just left with an overall feeling of "just ok". We'd go back if we needed to but primarily because of the price and convenience.
