Hotel Barajas Plaza Madrid

Would definitely stay here again. Service, Price, local restaurants, Convenience to the Madrid Airport fabulous exceptional for a budget hotel.

Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful and attentive.

It was a one night stay over near Madrid airport. Clean, convenient and comfy. All Good!

Informations how to getting to the hotel would be a plus. And extras amenities such as toothbrush and toothpaste would be great.

I have given a negative review, and the staff appeared to be nice, but I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend it. People were partying in multiple rooms until 3am, you can hear the conversations, the doors shutting echo through the halls and it's already loud. Just don't stay here if you plan is to sleep.

Close to airport, excellent front desk service

Very small room. Not worth for the money paid.

For only one, short night it was a "doable" hotel. Our double room was exceptionally small with nowhere except the bed to sit and read or watch TV. We attempted a room upgrade and they do not have that option. Their cable system did not include any English language channels. We did not feel the linens were as clean as could be. After pulling back the covers we discovered a long black hair on our sheets. Definitely not from one of our heads. Closer look at the top covering to the bed revealed stains and spots that either laundering couldn't remove or the cover was in need of washing or replacing. The shower was fine with good water pressure and room for turning around. The hotel is adjacent to a plaza with at least 6 different food and beverage choices. We ate at two places around the plaza and thoroughly enjoyed the food in both of them. The food helped ease our unhappiness with the room. During our overnight stay we encountered three desk clerks, all of them helpful, somewhat conversant in English, and very polite. The woman who checked us in compared very favorably to any desk clerk we have encountered in better hotels. Our request for a 4:15 AM taxi was carried out without any problems. The hotel is a 20 Euro taxi ride from Terminal 2. In some of the reviews I read some people found it within walking distance to the airport. HMM? I plan to explore with Expedia their terms for star ratings. My terms would give this hotel 2 stars.

Hotel Barajas is OK. Good front desk staff, location near a pleasant plaza with a selection of restaurants. I thought that it was closer to the airport than it actually is -- cab ride was 12-15 minutes. Regarding the room -- immaculately clean, good bathroom, bed rather small for two people. The automatic hallway light went on and off repeatedly through the night, sending substantial light into the room. I wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked, I didn't sleep well, and there was still a substantial cab ride to the airport. In retrospect, I would have stayed in Madrid at my nicer and more expensive hotel. On the other hand, Hotel Barajas was quite inexpensive, so budget travelers (and I remember those years well) might be perfectly happy.

Very clean, excellent front desk service. It's a place without luxury but with all you need to spend a nice and relax couple of days.Near to the airport and bus stop. Near to Plaza Hermanos Falco y Álvarez de Toledo where there are some restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a beer and excellent food. Muy limpio, excelente servicio de recepción. Es un lugar sin lujos pero con lo necesario para hacer de tu estancia algo placentero y tranquilo. Cerca del aeropuerto y a paradas del bus. Muy cerca de la Plaza Hermanos Falco y Álvarez donde puedes conseguir restaurantes y algún bar donde disfrutar de una buena cerveza y excelente comida.
