Hotel Palace

Right in the center. Make a right at the H&M. Run down. Elevator broken. Good view. Mostly quiet. Needs new carpeting.

Hotel palace charges way too much for a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very shabby with old carpeting. There is a 4D movie theatre next door and you will hear and feel the vibrations of the movie. The floors are wooden and the walls are paper thin and you will hear everything. The bathrooms are very tiny and old. There is no air conditioning. I got a fan but the fan made a lot of noise. There is also no mini fridge. However it is very conveniently located near Piazza Maggiore and is near all the major sights. The hotel is about an 15-20 min walk to the train station. Overall it is fine for a one night stay out of convenience but it’s not good value for your money. 

Bad bed

Staff was kind , we only stayed for one evening ,however the toilet ran the whole night and the tank leaked everywhere. The bed was horrible you could feel the springs in the mattress dig in to your body every time you moved. However it is located right in the heart of Bologna so exploring the city was nice and easy .

The hallways had literal mould growing from the ceiling I have photographic evidence, the taps in our room had the chrome eroded off, the carpets looked awful and threadbare. More than 4 things were out of order including an elevator and vending machines. Staff gave us no information on arrival about breakfast, recommendations of restaurants, the sights of the city and we wasn't even told about the WIFI. Overall for a three star hotel we were disappointed we had just come from a 3 star hotel in Verona and they were miles better.

I'll just say this.....I prepaid for 2 nights. I left after the first night. I didn't even think about asking for a refund.....this hotel needs all the cash it can grab. I'll ask my accountant if I can't claim my lost prepaid night as alms for the poor. Yes, THAT bad! I should have believed all the other reviews about the dirty carpet, loud cinema noise, unfriendly welcome.

Building is awful, location is good but bologna is so tiny. Find a better hotel than this, you will thank me. Rooms are old and cold. We had a big room for our family of 4. Dirty carpet and the cherry on top: bed bugs

Hotel was perfect for seeing, eating and drinking out on the city. Polite staff, clean rooms and a great location!

There is a rumbling. Maybe a subway or something? It was not ideal but I got over it and my stay as nice.

We happened to stay when temperatures were around 30, so the lack of air-conditioning was a shame. Very helpful staff on reception desk - thank you.
