Hotel Lilienhof

We were only stopping over in Hamburg to meet with a friend for a few hours the next day. We wanted to be close to the train station, and we absolutely were. Weren't expecting much because it was a hostel, but had forgotten that it was shared bathroom. That wasn't an issue, but since it was nearly 1 am and we were meeting at 8, we thought we should shower before the morning rush. Went to shower, and the door was locked. It said it was 6.50 DM on the door. Figured it would have been included in price of the room. It may have been, but after walking up 6 flights of stairs, we didn't want to hike back down to ask. Just washed up in the room sink. Wasn't terrible. Would consider staying again.

Good hotel,friendy staff in a great location 4 minites from the station

A tiny room with a toilet down the hall, for a reasonable price. Clean, decent bed, just fine for crashing in after a day of sight-seeing. Conveniently located just a block away from the northeast entrance to the Hauptbahnhof.

You get what you pay for. The location is its best feature.

Look - don't get me wrong, this place isn't (and never was) 4*. It's a little bit worn, the shower in your room will be a d-i-y job by an over-enthusiastic handyman, - - - but here's what counts : it's clean, good value, and no matter what time you finish partying, you just hail a cab and say "Hauptbahnhof bitte".

I Had a plesant stay there, its not 5 star hotel but its beeter than some hotels and hostels i have stayed in before, breakfast was ok but remember you are not paying a fortune to stay there or eat breakfast, the place was clean, the staff were nice.

It does not meet the standards described in the information, but it is a good place if you just want a bed to sleep in when visiting Hamburg. The best part is that it does have a really good spot in the city.

ok room that's private with shower. They charged me online and demanded cash in person. Your choice, but bring proof you paid online because they will try to make you pay in person too. It's on the East middle side of the city right near the train station/mall.
