Aelia by Eltheon

Front desk/staff really make this hotel. Great pool. Very well spoken English by young man at front desk. Very hard working people. Not super fancy but great location. My boyfriend and I are 27/24 and we loved being out of fira itself, it was busy and loud in fira. Relaxing out here. Still walking distance but you may want to rent a car or atv. The bus transit system here is chaos and the drivers are amazingly rude. I would not suggest it.

The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and semi-modern. The location is about a 25 minute walk into Fira with slight uphill. The walk to Fira is very scenic if you find the walking trail which is along the sea. There are local places to eat too and a good gyro place called Anogi and “Why not?” which is very reasonable and family run. The pool area is a reasonable size. Great value and I would return to this hotel

Our stay at Aelia by Eltheon. Our stay was made wonderful because of Eva and Helen at the front desk who made our stay a million times better. They were always willing to help and supported us to get transfers, tell us about the area and where best to visit. They were always friendly and welcoming making us feel more at home during our stay. They were also helpful if we need more assistance or help. I would visit the hotel again if they were there. Unfortunately we did not see the owners of the hotel.

Overall enjoyed the stay. Good value compared to most other hotels in Santorini and there is a lovely pool. The hotel doesn’t have views of the Caldera but it is a 3 minute walk. There are some great restaurants nearby. Staff were great and very welcoming. Only area we thought could be improved was the kitchenette. There were no cooking utensils and the hob could not be used (it was unplugged as staff said it was unsafe) to cook even a quick breakfast.

Hotel room was clean. But there were a few issues. Air conditioner didn't work well at all. When we booked the room we were told it had a safe in it but it did not. Hotel staff offered to move us to the room next door, but it was a smoking room and smelled terrible. Room was a bit dated but otherwise adequate. Hotel staff were great; very friendly and helpful.

Room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay. Same bedsheets for an entire week. Air conditioning was extremely poor. Manager was not present at all for the whole week. Not even reachable over the phone for our entire stay. Wifi did't work. OVERPRICED. View is nothing special. Imerovigli is a good/central location. Oia and thira easily reached.

Endroit charmant, très calme et proche de l'animation. Station de bus juste à côté. La personne de l'accueil est charmante et très serviable. Les chambres sont grandes et très propres et la piscine est très agréable. Un endroit que nous recommandons!

Wonderful place to stay if you're a budget traveler. It does not boast the spectacular caldera views that Imerovigli is known for, but the prices reflect that. It's a quick, short walk to the caldera, so you can easily spend time on that side. The hospitality of the staff was impeccable. They were very helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to go, and they were friendly and even gave us a gift when we left to remember Santorini. I would highly recommend this place for budget travelers.

Pleasant hotel, lovely staff. We had a downstairs room which was basic. Bus is around the corner and you can walk to Thirra on a lovely picturesque path which takes 25 mins. Gorgeous views are only mins away.
