La Posada del Mar Hotel

Very pretty hotel in excellent location for town centre and harbour area.

Check-in was difficult because no easy access by car to drop off bags and park. Once overcome this was not an issue that impacted enjoyment of the hotel.

Lovely Spanish feel to this ideally located historical hotel.

Stayed for the weekend. Hotel is in the centre, next to the port. Restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Room was very comfortable and clean, no noise from street below. The balcony was not really private as it looked out onto the street but was not really a problem for us.

Pleasant surprise, light and airy room. Staff very helpful not normal in Spain.

We absolutely loved staying here! The room was large and comfortable as was the bathroom with its bath and seperate shower. Great position for walking everywhere.

This was the third time I stayed at this hotel and on previous occasions stayed in the Junior Suite which perhaps affected my experience in a basic room. The room itself was well furnished with a beautiful view but the bed was hard and the pillows didn't suite me. I had difficulty getting the room the correct temperature as really airconditioning was unnecessary but the road noise was too much to open the doors. I compromised and found a blanket in the wardrobe. The one lady managing the breakfast service was fantastic. I was greeted every morning with a huge smile and she remembered how I liked my tea and squeezed orange juice. Breakfast is very good. I found the reception Staff with the exception of one young man to be rather cold and unwelcoming as I felt the two previous times I stayed. The internet was sometimes OK and sometimes not. It is an superb situation, great views of the marina, near the town and surrounded by excellent restaurants.

A base for my wife and I while visiting family, who kept the children. Super rooms, location and service. We had made a mistake when booking, and arrived a day later than indicated. While the no show fee was unavoidable, they upgraded our room for the rest of the stay. Location is perfect for local restaurants and night life, yet the hotel very quiet despite the bustle outside.

Hotel location was very good. We went by car and they have a privat parking place nearby the hotel. So the car was safe. The best of al was the breakfast. Excellent. Nothing to complain only the bed was for us very hard. We went first to Madrid and then we came to denia for the beach,but the weather was not so good. We called and hotel.com aranged whit the hotel that we could leave the hotel earlier then we had booked. We din't have to pay the 2 days that we went earlier. And we booked the hotel in Barcelona 2 days earlier. No problems. We were very,very happy. Great company.

I booked at short notice for brief vacation. The hotel is very well located, the room was spacious, clean & welcoming and the staff were very helpful. I will definitely return next year.
