Irene Pension I

It was a very homie place, we felt like being with family thanks to Irene and son hospitality.

Une très bonne pension de famille, située dans un quartier calme de Naxos, à deux pas du port et des rues piétonnes. Excellent accueil et service de Starvos et Irene qui se proposent par exemple spontanément de venir vous chercher ou déposer au port. Le ménage est fait quotidiennement. Bref très bon rapport qualité / prix. Ne changez rien!

Stayed at Irene II and the room was a bit smelly upon arrival. After using the ac on drying-mode the humidity went slightly away. However, the linen seemed to be very old since they never stopped smelling... The owners were nice and helpfull. The location of the hotel is great!

The hotel is in a fairly good place. A little out of the main area but that makes for a quieter rest! Close to a great bakery, market and bus stop. I walked to Fira...about 20 min and it was a nice walk. There is a pool which is nice and the rooms were always clean. Never had any problems. The only negative was the hotel location was off a main street amd you had to wind back through some walkeays to find the hotel. Luckily there were signs. It worked out fine. Call the owner for pickup from the airport and save yourself the cab fare. Now that I know where the hotel is located Ill take the bus from the airport!

The guy who runs the hotel is very knowledgeable and friendly. They had overbooked for the first night we stayed and had to put us up in another hotel down the road for the night. Even though it was only a 2 minute walk they came and picked us up the next morning and upgraded our room for us, so we were very happy with the service. The WiFi not good and only worked intermittently. Otherwise great location, everywhere in walking distance. They had very good water pressure in the shower, the best we had in Greece.

Although we only stayed one night in Naxos, we had a great time and wish we had stayed longer. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. The location was in a quiet neighbourhood, with great restaurants and cafes less than a five minute walk. The walk to the city centre was about 10-15 minutes. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend Pension Irene and will be staying there on our next visit to Naxos.

Fantastic location. Great family run place. The ride to and from the ferry and the cakes for breakfast where a great surprise. Would absolutely recommend to family and friends.

Irene I with Jacuzzi or you can stay in Irene II with pool. It is a bit far from town but still in walkable distant. As it is not in main center so very quiet at night. A good choice if you like to relax. Free shuttle pickup in the port.

Lovely quiet hotel in a nice part of town - a 5 min walk up from the square. Funnily enough the photo's don't do it justice - it's way prettier in person. Friendly owners - in a nice, not overly intrusive way. Free lift to and from the Port - not that you'd really need it, it's a very pleasant 15 min walk. Best probably to take advantage of lift from the port as you may have trouble finding it otherwise but don't let that put you off - once you know where it is it's not hard to find subsequently. When you disembark from the ferry just look for the 'Irene' minibus - it has the logo on the side. Good sized room with balcony and free cake - what's not to like?

20€ per night. And Stavros came to the port to pick us, he gave us good info about the island, a couple of ice creams, two small bottles of wine, the hotel had jacuzzi was nice, well located, everithing perfect for an incredible price!
