It’s a great accommodation option, right in the centre of Edinburgh and very close to everything! It’s very clean and comfortable, but I felt a little uncomfortable about there being no visible staff… key code entry etc, but otherwise a great place!

Our stay was incredible! We loved the location and the building :) Room was great, super comfy beds! Thank you for everything!

WORST HOTEL IN SCOTLAND This place was an absolute nightmare. The towels had hair on them, the pillowcases were stained and dirty, the shower head was broken, they shut the heat off overnight the first night I was there, and to top it all off: the last night I was there a bunch of drunk men came stumbling in at 1:30 in the morning, waking me up… they carried on loudly between the hallway and their room for a half an hour. Then left. They then came back at 3:45 in the morning to do the same thing over again. This should have never been allowed. It was disruptive and disrespectful to other guests. This hotel had no staff on site, so if you need extra towels and are not from the UK, you are completely screwed. Also there’s obviously no one there to monitor other guests for their bad behavior. DO NOT STAY

Nice stay

Amazing unique property. Was surprised when i walked into my room to see a piano in it. 5 travelers and it was so easily walkable and the Staffless checkin was easy. Will book again if in Edinburgh

Do you want to be able to sleep in your room? Then you might want to consider booking elsewhere. Something was wrong with the toilet in our room where it frequently made a very loud banging-type noise all hours of the night and day. Additionally, the water for the toilet was constantly running, and because of that, it wouldn't flush properly. I am a very heavy sleeper, and the repeated banging kept waking me up again and again. We notified staff about the toilet issues as soon as we got into the room, who emailed management. We got no response. I emailed management about it as well. Again, no response. We called the front desk /service desk about it, which told us that because we were booked over the weekend (Sat night through Mon morning), no one would be able to fix it until after we checked out. The front desk said the only thing we could do was ask for compensation from the website we booked through. We contacted the website we booked through, and even they cannot seem to get ahold of the management to figure out compensation. I have also emailed management again and have gotten no response; however, I have gotten a (presumably automated) message from them asking for a 10/10 review and requesting us to contact them regarding any issues prior to posting a review of anything less. Well, maybe by posting this review, management will finally respond to our many attempts to contact them. Besides the loud banging noise, the dysfunctional toilet, and the lack of any ability to communicate with management, the shower door was broken and someone's soggy luggage tag was on the floor, making us question how clean the room actually was. I'd highly recommend thinking long and hard before booking a room at this hotel.

There is no staff to talk to if you inquire about tours. There is no elevator.

The place is well located and we enjoyed very much our stay.

The room itself was nice but the promised services were not as advertised. There was mold in the shower when we arrived which was fixed. The cleaning people didn't replace the towels for the entire week despite leaving them on the floor as ask. They just hung them back up on the racks.
