Hotel MM Antequera

OMG, don't go there, its by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Travelled with Newmarket Holidays, the disturbance during the night was horrendous, party concluded at 7.30 am, yes in the morning, no sleep at all, rep did nothing other than report to Head Office. Just had a reply to our complaint and basically they have no control over private hotel parties so that's it, a 10% discount on next holiday is not good enough. The food also was terrible, I mean really bad. Don't go there and don't go with Newmarket unless you want an ineffective response to your complaint.

Stayed at Hotel Las De Antikaria Spain. Hotel clean well situated for the lovely town of Antequera, thats all thats good about it, mostly staff unfriendly and not helpful, very noisy lift, two parties one night, one going on until seven in the morning people going up and down in lift shouting, screeming and running up our corridor banging on our doors, management don't apear interested. breakfasts very poor, couldn't get a hot cup of tea wouldn't recomend this hotel. Think Newmarket should scrap it from their brochure

This is a good hotel as a base to explore Antequera and El Torcal. The parking is very convenient. The bar is friendly. Rooms have gentle air conditioning and smart bathrooms. Excellent lift. We also liked the views from the roof terrace.

This was just an overnight stay. The hotel is centrally located, and beautifully clean. We enjoyed the views from the roof terrace, from where you can see the famous feature, the Indian Head. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace outside the hotel. Very nice.

Very disappointed with this hotel as we read some good reviews. The hotel was very clean and very convenient for antequerra but that's where the positives end. The restaurant was pretty awful and the breakfast was the worst continental breakfast I've had, not much choice and what you did get was either cold or Congealed as it was left out for ages, hot food wasnt kept under hot plates and cold food wasn't refrigerated. The reception staff generally didn't look up as you entered or left the hotel and rarely said hola! Staff were not helpful and came across as surly and rude. The air con was not working one night so the room was hot and unbearable, the first night the water was luke warm.

No english TV channels, some lights burnt out, intermittent Google access. We arrived at noon, told to come back at 2. Cool reception - not friendly.

Great but the WIFI didn't work at our room

Our family of four stayed for one night and the location - 5 mins from both train and bus stations - was perfect. If coming from Malaga, get the bus from.Stop 33 at main bus station, next door to Malaga MZ train station. Fare around 8 Euros and pay the driver. Only a few buses each day - inc one at 1315. Trains from Seville, etc, to Antequera C station. Don't go to St Anna station which is miles away. We only saw a little of the town, but it's nice to poke around. The walk up the steps for the view from the castle is well worth the effort. Hotel was fine for us. Beds not brilliant and few fancy touches, but it was solid and unpretentious like the town itself. Not bad at all.

Four nights stay with a couple of day trips out of Antequera. We chose the hotel as it was reasonably priced and close to the bus and train stations. The walk into the city centre was not a problem. The reception staff helped us when we needed advice and even arranged a weekend laundry service that is not normally possible. It is a 3-star quality hotel that suited our needs.

No complaints about the hotel. Close enough to walk in city center.
