Hotel Alda Bonaval

This is a small hotel in a great location near the old town (no cars) area and the Cathedral. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful in solving some problems that required better Spanish than mine. There are also some good restaurants just around the corner.

This is a very good little hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the location is great to look around the town. Was sorry to only have one night would have liked to stay longer.

This hotel was a mix of old charm with modern amenities. Although some people might find it a bit difficult to walk up the hill to the hotel, I was grateful for the extra bit of exercise. The walk to the Cathedral is very close and there are lots of restaurants and shops. My only gripe is that the shower was a bit too tight and the bed was not the most comfy, but the staff made up for it a hundred times over. They were very pleasant and willing to help. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good too.

From the outset I was very impressed with this hotel. I was especially surprised to see that it had so few stars. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food served was excellent.

First visit to Santiago made it hard to find, but v helpful reception, nice view and get area
