Scholars Townhouse Hotel

The staff was friendly and responsive to an issue we had when we arrived. The venue has a classic look and feel. We did like Peggy Moore's Pub food - great burgers and chips, though I wish I had had one of the cheese platters!

The room was way too small for the furniture, our luggage, and us to move around in. The shower exits requires you to squeeze by, if you're lucky, or sit in the sink. There were lots of stairs from the parking lot to the entrance and then to our room. No elevator which is fine if you don't have luggage but, we had luggage! Small double bed and not very comfy sheets. Way too pricey the accommodations. And Drogheda was so very different from other cities we visited: noisy, trashy, backed up traffic. The combination was really unfortunate.

I wasn’t told about the evening meal specials that I would have preferred to order if I had know .

The food and drinks were very tasty, the only complaint was that I couldn't fall asleep last night, until 2am, it was too noisy because of the staff who were shouting and very drunk on the terrace.

Everything about the trip was excellent. The Accommodation, Bar, Food, and the Staff are fantastic.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Room was small but extremely warm and cosy. Staff and service were amazing.

We have just spent the last two days in Scholars, and have nothing negative to say. Rooms though small, make every inch used to perfection, bathroom was fab, lovely shower. Breakfast was amazing, great choice and staff couldn't do enough for you Special mention to the receptionist Aisling, so professional, friendly and helpful, a gem to have as your front of house. Will definitely return and highly recommend staying
