Belle Ville Hotel

This hotel is a very special and lovely place to stay. My partner and I stayed for three nights and felt so welcome. Our room was beautiful (and huge!) and was comfortable and clean. Our hosts gave us lots of information about things to see and do - the hotel is also in the old town which is a very pretty and relaxing part of the city. We also had breakfast at the hotel which was always lovely - a buffet style breakfast with great coffee. Overall we really recommend this hotel for a happy stay in Plovdiv!

Excellent location, although difficult to access with suitcases. The owner's wife (who speaks better French than English) was really helpful in getting us a taxi and taking us to the pickup point. We were upgraded to the family "apartment" which was quite luxurious.

I dont know - the place was closed and noone was there when I arrived. I went to another hotel because I needed somewhere to stay.

On night 4th June I received an email via booking.com asking me if I wanted to keep my booking or not, which I found a bit strange, cos why would I have booked the hotel if I did not want to keep the booking? I tried to reply, but could not. I could not phone cos I had no credit on my phone and we were in the middle of nowhere, and I did not want to make a detour to a town just to buy credit. I tried to reply on Booking.com, because my wife still had data, but for some reason we cannot message the hotel using booking.com. We gave up trying to contact the hotel as we were simply wasting time and getting stressed. We arrived at the hotel, 5pm, to honour the booking. The garden door was open. The porch door was open. The reception door was locked and I looked inside, and it looked like the hotel had not been used for quite some time. It was not derelict, but tables and chairs were stacked and it was dusty. I banged the doors, I banged the windows. I shouted. I asked the neighbours. After 15 minutes we gave up and went to find another hotel. Today, the 6th June, I was very surprised to receive a message from booking.com .. the hotel said that I was a no show. WRONG - THE HOTEL WAS A NO SHOW! I WAS THERE! I had many backwards and forwards since then and finally they said that if I had asnswered their email (I tried and could not answer) then things would be different. They are a hotel .. nit airbnb .. they should be there and open when guests arrive. This last message implies that if they had received an answer that they would have been there. Which is very different from their original position ... i.e. .. I was a no-show!

The hotel is traditional, old, good, clean, very calm and minimalist. The hotel is located in the center of the old town. Breakfast is good and sufficient. The coffee beans are very good.

A very cozy and convenient hotel with friendly staff and charming room setting and nice garden. Great hospitality and clean everywhere. There were coffee and tea, as well as hot/cold water all the time. This family style hotel is located at the Old Town on a quiet and very peaceful street. It is only 10 minutes walking distance to the city center. Walking alone the cobblestone street, you can see the remaining of the ancient city wall and arch stone gate. Highly recommended and we will visit again for sure!!
