Fantastic location, lovely staff, very clean and front garden area was great.

No lift, extra €10 for eggs Benedict at breakfast, standard room is open plan but had different levels so a trip hazard, €15/day to park the car.

The breakfast was great. The decor was beautiful and the housekeeper was stellar!

There is no elevator and no bell man. The front desk person has a hard job and can't do it all, including carrying heavy bags to rooms. Desk person could have more local knowledge. More concierge-like abilities.

Reception staff were outstanding and went out of their way to resolve issues and to be helpful. The decor of the hotel is charming and the communal sitting room a delight. The outside areas are beautiful and calming. The central location is excellent. Comfy bed and good linen. Beautifully clean. Fresh milk and ice provided when asked. The dining areas are also stylish and comfortable.

Our second bedroom, Room 15 (the first one had totally inadequate storage - Room 17 - and we had to be moved) had plenty of storage but had no mirror in the bedroom at all and nowhere to put on makeup or to see to dry hair. The breakfast Chef was, frankly, dreadful. Avocado on toast was mushed up and black from being prepared a long time previously. It should not have been served. Croque Monsieur was also dreadful and untoasted on one side resulting in a flabby unpleasant dish. The continental breakfast offerings were adequate/good. One breakfast waitress more or less told us she was too busy setting tables for lunch to be bothered with us. I think her calling is elsewhere. Coffee not great and one other guest went out of the hotel to buy a coffee to drink with her breakfast.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of town. Breakfast was delicious.

We had a mini room which was really very small. Close to our room was a comfortable lounge area but if you book a mini room be prepared for a very small room.
