Hotel Villas Casa Morada

Suites have kitchenette and open to a garden area. Upstairs rooms windows open to covered inside area. Beds are comfortable. Both are beautifully decorated (see pix). Wi fi in rooms sketchy but fine downstairs. Staff very helpful though only manager speaks English. Hotel is easy walk from zocalo and pedestrian streets.

This a wonderful hotel, located in a quiet, yet convenient area of SCDLC. The rooms are beautifully appointed and heat (and sometimes fireplace, depending on room) is available. The staff is also very helpful in making arrangements, whether that be breakfast at the hotel, transportation, or tours. They are very accommodating. A good value when in SCDLC.

Charming hotel, short walk to the centro. Rooms were nice and beautifully decorated. Having the extra living area/kitchen was great; allowed for more room even if we didn't use the kitchen much it was nice to have the option (and the refrigerator for drinks). Hotel was quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ate breakfast at the restaurant twice, while not quick, the service and food were great. Internet was good although much faster at night than during the day.

Stayed there for three nights in October 2018. We had one of the suites in the back which was really nice and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast was good, if a little slow and the staff were super friendly. Would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Villas Casa Morada and had a delightful stay. This boutique hotel has a lovely San Cristobal atmosphere. The staff was superb: very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and the surrounding areas. The rooms are all tastefully decorated. We booked a suite with a fireplace (super romantic), living area, and kitchenette, just full of quaint touches throughout. We did not eat in because we typically don't have breakfast, but it is included. We did get plenty of their delicious café de Chiapas everyday. Overall an elegant hotel and a peaceful stay. A++

El hotel tiene una muy buena ubicación, ya que el no estar en medio de la zona turística te permite descansar y si quieres acercarte al pueblo sólo tienes que caminar unas cuadras.. Mi única recomendación para calificar como excelente al hotel sería que las camas no fueran matrimoniales, son muy chicas para dos adultos. lo demás es excelente, buen servicio, buen comedor y buenas instalaciones.

This is the place to stay in San Cristobal! We just returned from an exceptional stay Casa Morada for four nights with our three children. This hotel is a wonderful, comfortable, welcoming place with amazing staff. The villas are two stories and we used the fireplace every night. The rooms are impeccably clean and the onsite restaurant and bar were great for breakfast each morning and after a long day of sight seeing. What makes the hotel truly special is the superb staff—you can tell the hotel is managed very well from the moment you walk in the door. Andrea and Jorge went out of their way to make our stay exceptional, from having decorations, cake and champagne in our room when we arrived (i mentioned it was my husbands birthday in a prior email) to setting up tours to the canyons and also excellent transport to the Tuxtla airport. They really went above and beyond and we will definitely be returning! Mil Gracias!

The room was beautiful, calm, big and the fireplace, we didn't expect, was incredibly romantic! The staff helped us organizing a horse trip, nice restaurant to go, printing our boarding cards and finding a good priced transport to the airport! Just awesome! The location is 10-15min from the old center.

recommend highly - front desk like having your own concierge- the tour company they put us in contact with Sendamaya and who we used for 5 days did everything right!! Breakfast was reasonable and service was excellent- our 2 bedroom suite for our adult daughter and my wife and myself had 2 floors and was just what we needed - had a enclosed garden which we walked through on way to our suite
