Hotel Villas Casa Morada

The location is perfect! It’s close to the main square and walking streets but far enough away for it to be quiet at night. Just down the street is a delicious bakery and many other good places to eat just a 7 minute walk away. Around the corner are both the jade and chocolate museums which are very interesting and our stay included complementary tickets for both. We also caught a collectivo to Arcotete just 2 blocks from the hotel. Overall super convenient! The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace made it cozy. The garden is very pleasant. We had breakfast included - you get to choose from a small selection of dishes including a sandwich, pancakes, chilaquiles, or scrambled eggs with either vegetables or chorizo. The food was simple but good, and a very convenient way to start the day - we would go have breakfast first thing and discuss plans for the day over our coffee. The woman who was at the front desk each of the mornings we stayed was especially kind and helpful. No problems with wifi.

We knew this when we booked - there is a turkey farm next door and they wake up early. We just used ear plugs at night and it didn’t bother us, but it would have surprised us if we hadn’t read about it ahead of time. It didn’t diminish our stay, but something people should know if they are sensitive to early morning turkey alarms.

Sweetest unit! The bed was so comfortable and the room was quiet.

When we arrived at night the internet was very slow and not acceptable. We complained and they redid their entire internet, routers and all the following morning increasing speed by 70 times! Never seen that before!!!

Location is great - not noisy center but you can get there in 5-7 min, lovely garden with jasmine and pear tree and fireplace in the room

breakfast is fine, sometimes we heard (and smell) other guests

I like that it comes with a kitchen and small fridge, it was very quiet & the staff was very friendly, i do think for the price, they could improve their rooms a little, better Internet or Cable, at night when we would try to watch tv, it kept buffing to the point that sometimes you couldn’t make out a sentence or keep up with the show or movie the internet was the same would come and go, as well i would say it needs better quality lighting inside the rooms, outside in the lobby it all looks great but inside the rooms it can be a little dark and gloomy and i don’t mean the romantic dark kind. Also more selection at the restaurant, breakfast was included, but it gets old very fast especially if you are going for a longer stay ( 5 days) stay like we did ( 11). It is not very close to town but we didn’t mind the walk. The good things are it has a beautiful garden & our room had view to it, the staff is super friendly & great, the kitchen & fridge, and the chimney for fires. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Shower in one room was only warm water.

Room was very comfortable and beautifully designed. We loved the proximity to the main plaza and getting around. We definitely recommend to all.
