DV Chalet Boutique Hotel & Spa

The hotel is great, breakfast is amazing and the staff is the best! Daniel was the nicest person in town, always ready to help. The transportation to and from the lifts was perfect and comfortable. Very glad we booked this hotel, especially for the staff.

Our stay for a week at this marvellous hotel was exceptional. I stayed with my husband and 2 teenaged children. The rooms were wonderful - large and everything we needed in them - fabulous for a week. Most of all though, the service was excellent. From the restaurant team staff, to the driver who took us to the chairlifts, the housekeepers and the reception team - everybody was so kind and considerate. Mid-way into our stay I had a fall skiing which meant I stayed in the hotel for a few days; the staff could not do more for me to keep me comfortable. I felt so well looked after - they were truly amazing. We rarely return to the same hotel for skiing, but we certainly will return to DV Chalet. The dinners are stunning - make sure you order 3 or 4 courses, as each course is a little on the small side. The resort itself is exceptionally well thought through, with many modern restaurants and dwellings, while maintaining the character of the mountain region. The skiing itself was excellent - something for everyone.

Hotel team amazing - professional, friendly, helpful, kind. Food was fantastic - creative, traditional, high quality. Location was a 10-15 min walk to main ski lifts, or there's a hotel shuttle. Our room was smaller but you can choose. I'd come back!

This was our 5th time staying at DV Chalet, and it was as fantastic as ever. If anything, the food is even better than the last time we visited. We ate in the restaurant a few times (not the high end, Michelin, restaurant, just the "regular" restaurant for guests). If you stay half board, the evening meals are really, really high quality - a set menu that varies every day, and an a la carte, with some delicious regular dishes on it. We loved everything we ate. In addition, the staff are fabulous - super friendly and really, really helpful. Special mention for Daniel, who drives guests to and from the slopes - again, really helpful and friendly, available all day (up to 6pm) and great with our kids as well. The location is central - easy to walk to the town centre. And the spa is a good place to relax and unwind - small pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and water beds.

Being active lifestyle and good food enthusiasts, we were recommended DV Chalet for our skiing holidays. What is great about the hotel? Romanian driver bringing us to the slopes and back daily and dinners. Why would we not recommend it? 1) The room was super tiny and not conformable to place cloth. 2) Room is super dark - don't even dream to read 3) Internet - goes up and down, not suitable for work in case You need a conf call 4) Sound isolation - don't exists. We had 2 barking dogs in the room near by. Therefore I was not able to sleep 5) Normally after skiing or SPA You have clothes You would like to dry - there is absolutely no space for it and hotel representative said that they can't help with it; 6) People in the restaurant don't speak English and are not attentive 7) Would You like to get eggs for breakfast - you better go to the restaurant outside as it will take at least 30 min + You better have a translator with You as anything rather than an omelette is not understood (boiled eggs, sunny side up....). In general breakfast is very poor and served in a weird way. 8) Delivery to slopes - only nearest slope Spinate is arranged by the hotel, even if agency told differently 9) SPA - is rather cosy, but if You are coming with a kids / teens be prepared that they could use it only till 5 pm and in general they are not allowed to sauna.

Beautiful hotel. Small (20 rooms) really well laid out. Great spa/pool area. Best bed & pillows I’ve ever had on a ski resort ( normally take my own pillow but couldn’t fit in my bag) luckily I didn’t need it. The driver to the lifts was brilliant & we never waited more than a few minutes. Big shout out to Daniel who drove us most of the time.

Well it’s not ski in/ ski out but with driver it wasn’t that big a deal. We found the breakfast set up a bit too formal for us but that’s just our taste
