"Best riad in Morocco"

10.0

We have travelled all around Morocco staying in high end riads, this riad was by far the best and most authentic. The customer service was incredible, I'd highly recommend taking the half day walking tour and the riad does lovely breakfast and we had an amazing dinner one night, best food in fes.

"A bit old, but excellent!!"

10.0

The riad itself is a bit old, but all the rest is excellent. The staff is the best!!!! They are all very friendly and willing to help and make the stay the most enjoyable possible (Assif goes above and beyond to make guests welcome). We had dinner at the Riad and it was very good. Location is also excellent, super close to the Blue Gate and in the middle of the medina. Ask Assif to book a tour with Abdul. He knows a lot about Fes, the culture and history. Its worth a tour with him, even thought he takes us to some shops for us to see the presentation (a bit unconfortable sometimes if you dont want to buy anything, but its all about knowing the local culture anyways).

"Memorable riad and BEST SERVICE in Morroco"

10.0

The location is in the heart of the Medina which is not too far from the Blue gate.(5mins walking) You can easy access by Batha la post, and very convenient. Beautiful interior and rooms. It is an old house then renovate into a beautiful Riad. Rooftop terrace is a great way to end the day overlooking the Medina . Every second of the stay was excellent. Everyone goes out of their way to make the experience perfect. Thank you for your great host!!

"Lovely Riad in good location"

8.0

We liked the large room with mezzanine for the 2 older children. Though we were offered 2 rooms on arrival at no extra cost which was nice, but we chose to stay together in this large room for 5 people. The Riad is beautiful and very typical of the Medina. It's in a great spot, nice and quiet but just off the main buzz of the medina. The staff we very attentive and sweet, making sure we had everything we needed and all the information to enjoy a wonderful few days exploring the craziness that is Fes Medina. It was lovely and cool inside and I could imagine it being a relief in the heat of high summer, though possibly a bit cool in the winter. It's not in perfect condition nor is it 5 star, but I would recommend for good value, great service, and a lovely ambience. A great family option. Note: We never saw or used the pool, I don't think it was 'available'.

"Very good experience"

8.0

We spent three nights a Riad Youssef, and the experience was very good. The people working there are extremely kind and nice, and eager to help you at anytime. We had a very good times in Fes and Riad Youssef was surely part of it! Highly recommended!

"riad with beautiful decor and character"

8.0

Booked a double bedroom. we got the room in the 1st floor. we did not know that there were no lifts. it would have been difficult at our age to climb up and down the narrow staircase. We were then given the ground floor family room at no extra cost. The room was very comfortable and spacious and clean. No noise from the streets. Better ask for the receipt, when you pay cash for your stay, as one has to give credit card details while booking. Amina, the care taker was quite helpful. The room had an electric heater, hot water 24 hours,( no curtains for the shower), and more than enough clean towels. There was a T.V in the Lounge, which was Arabic and French. We had working WiFi in the room. Breakfast was at 9am. It was somewhat basic. Amina cooked an authentic Moraccan dinner, which was pricey, but delicious. The person who was at the front desk in the evenings, did not speak English. Still, we managed to get hot water from the kitchen when needed. The Riad is inside the Medina making it easier to do shopping, lots of eateries as well, food was good and inexpensive.

"Nice host, average condition"

6.0

The host and hostess were very gentle and nice. Every morning they prepare fresh and good breakfast for us to start the day. We even got upgraded to a larger and better room since the first one we got was a bot wet. The building was a little bit old and wet, but considering the very good price offer and great location, it really worth it. The location was great, just inside the Fes Medina yet very quiet.

"Best to avoid - very disappointing"

2.0

A beautiful riad in an excellent location but customer service is severely lacking. In January there was very little attempt to warm the freeing communal area and we ate a tasty but very pricey meal (our costliest in Morocco at 165 Dh each) in our coats. In the morning, the ambiance at the sparse spread (bread, butter, jam, 1 small pancake) was just as bleak. When we invoked the "the cooked to order breakfast" (promised on the website) a fried egg was grudgingly supplied Our plain room, accessed by steep stairs, with very basic en-suite and maintenance issues, had a welcome heater which made it a more comfortable option. The advertised "indoor pool and spa" were not available. All transactions were carefully calculated to the detriment of the guest (priced in euros and converted at a poor rate).

"Average "

6.0

We visited in winter and it was very cold inside partly because one of our windows had no glass. That also meant it was noisy at night. We saw the photos and the central area is beautiful but the rooms could do with a refresh. Don't eat in as it's expensive. In fact the most expensive place on our trip. There are so many restaurants just outside where a Tagine is 40-70 MAD. Good location in the medina and the older lady who was covering for the manager being away was lovely, but overall I wouldn't stay here again.

"Beautiful riad in excellent location"

8.0

Stunning riad in an excellent location. Just a short walk from the blue gate, in a side street off one of the main market streets. We stayed in the suite on the ground floor and it was fantastic. Massive room with a queen bed on the ground and spiral staircase up to a second bed. Very comfortable and reasonably priced.
