"Quiet and comfortable"

8.0

A lovely spot for a couple of quiet days to break up the hurly burly of downtown Algiers - close to the city to make day trips (less than an hour on the bus) but lovely to wake up next to the sea, watch the sun go down from the rooftop terrace and the food is also very good. The family will run you into the airport or station and are very kind and helpful.

"A VERY SPECIAL PLACE"

8.0

i went on a nostalgia trip having been brought up there as a kid in the 70's and to celebrate a family 70th.... There are things that make a stay memorable. The people who run and serve the guests and the ambiance. The welcome and kindness shown by Lamri, Yacine, Bahia, Hamidou, Hamid , Mohammed and the young, bright waiter every day as well as the cooks were first rate. This was like being in a family guesthouse and that is exactly what it is. You need go nowhere else. The rooms are comfortable, the food homecooking is excellent and the people helpful without being obtrusive. the beaches on ain taye are magnificent and all i can say is that I will return. thankyou Dar-Tlidjene. Merci a tous- de tres bonnes memoires. On se reverra Inchaala. Joyeux et Happy Eid! Z

"Another great stay!"

10.0

This is the second time that i have stayed at this hotel and it is still great. If you want a quiet place to stay which overlooks the sea then i highly reccomend it. We stayed in room 15 which is a juniour suite, it is large, has a balcony and overlooks the sea. The room was cleaned every day and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has its own taxi service which we used every day to get out and about. Will definately be going back!

"Good value for money"

6.0

Enjoyed a brief stay here with internet access available in the room on the first floor. However when we asked for a room with a balcony we were accommodated and moved to the top floor losing internet but gaining a better room. Breakfast was adequate continental style. Never had a chance to try the food.

"Hospitality par excellence in seaside Algiers"

10.0

We stayed in Hotel Dar-Tlidjene in Algiers in February 2012, on our way to the south of Algeria. We were picked up in the very early morning (like 3.30 am) from a person from the hotel and taken to the hotel in a seaside suburb of Algiers - we appreciated this service very much. The hotel is very comfortable - someone has thought of everything a guest could wish for. The room was warm, exquisitely clean and comfortable. There was a very good restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff were helpful and hospitable and arranged two tours for us in the day and a half we were in Algiers - one half day tour of the city of Algiers and the other to the Roman ruins at Tipasa, north of Algiers. The only drawback is that it is 18 kms from the centre of Algiers and the traffic is diabolical so the travel seems to take forever. Despite this, it is a lovely place to stay with very very nice people..

"Small, clean and family run"

10.0

My husband i have just come back from staying a week there. We loved it! My husband is algerian and we had previously stayed at a larger hotel in Algiers which was way more expensive. We found this Guest house far better than the expensive hotel. One of the sons taxied us anywhere we wanted to go at any time day or night, we were even invited to a wedding that was being held there. The rooms were large and very clean, we had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The guest house is situated in a very quiet area which was perfect for us, they had 2 great English movie channels if you wanted to stay in one day. We would both very highly reccomend this guest house to stay in.

"A small clean hotel"

8.0

The positives: Hotel is really very proper and clean, the rooms are spotless and quit well decorated. The dinner was good and breakfast...well, average. The hotel has its own shuttle-taxi, if you need to get somewhere The negatives: A little bit to far from Algiers, and from all the attractions.

"Like family, but better."

10.0

This charming and comfortable boarding house is beautifully situated in Aïn Taya, with wonderful views of the coast from it's rooftop terrace. The entire establishment is nicely decorated, the rooms are large, the bathrooms excellent and gorgeously tiled, and the twists and turns of the various staircases quite quirky and fun. A new visual delight around each corner. The family who own and run it make travelers very comfortable. They provided absolutely delicious meals in the restaurant, lent us their son for tours of Algiers, and the young man who waited on us at meals took us to another spot on the coast for further great views, museums, and points of interest. The son, Yacine, also picked us up at the airport, and delivered us back there for our plane to Tamanrasset a few days later. His sister translated for us often at the hotel, and their mother regaled us with tales and provided lots of local information. We even met her husband via Scype, as he was in France at the moment! The grandchildren were delightful kids. A completely hospitable and embracing family. I wish I could be adopted by them and live there always! A very lucky find for me when i searched mobisssimo.com for medium priced acomodations! The only caveat for Americans would be that it was impossible to use our credit cards, so bring cash for the hotel bill (although these wonderful folks offered to let us pay when we returned home to the States! Try finding hotel owners like that in California.
