Hotel Il Piccolo Giardino

The hotel is well located, very comfortable and has a small pool area on the roof with sun loungers and amazing views. Eating breakfast in the garden area was lovely, the breakfast food was good and the coffee was excellent. The only downside was there was very little storage in bathroom or bedroom, so nowhere to put out bathroom products and no wardrobe or drawers other than some hanging space on a rail and 2 tiny shelves. But it didn’t detract from the stay, it might have done if we were staying more than 2 nights.

Rooms are old and not well maintained, the bathroom had a weird smell and the staff was not so helpful to address any issue regarding the room and it’s appliances (e.g the shower head was broken and they didn’t fix it)

This small hotel has the best location ever, nestled close to the centre of all the buzz but calm and quiet. The roof top area and pool is such a treat, an oasis in the heat, small but perfect. Sure, breakfast could be better but honestly? Who cares. It’s a fab wee hotel.

Ideal location just off Corso Umberto, close to shops and restaurants. Very nice rooftop pool in which to cool off, peaceful garden area and nice rooms. Pleasant and helpful staff. The light breakfast included was a little disorganised due to a lack of staff, but adequate, and there is always the delightful Mennula bakery just below the hotel

The mattress had a big stain, the room smell bad, there was no help for the luggage, even though the street exit is several steps up from the reception and to reach a taxi you have to walk 30yd on cobblestone streets

We enjoyed our weeks stay at Il Piccolo Giardino. Our superior room had all we needed and the terrace afforded a lovely view of the sea and the Greek Theatre. Breakfasts were good and being able to sit in the quiet garden in the morning was excellent. The pool was a bonus with spectacular views across the town to the sea. The only downside for us in our stay was the noise that came from the restaurant on the steps by the hotel which played loud music from midday to well past midnight. Making a quiet glass of wine on the terrace not so quiet!

Dislike: pool a bit small. Dislike: not enough fresh fruit at breakfast and too much self-service. Like: location. Like: friendly staff.
