Hotel Il Piccolo Giardino

I was traveling alone and meeting friends who were staying at beach. I liked staying in town so I could be more active and explore which I was able to do while also visiting friends at Beach Hotel. Positives about Picollo: location…very friendly and accommodating front desk staff pretty good bkfst. Cons: elevator broken most of week I was on 3rd floor. Bathroom/shower cleanliness. Power went out randomly in room and I had to adjust with circuit box. Frig didn’t work. No place for clothes. I adjusted cause it was a nice trip but it would have been more comfortable otherwise. Shouldn’t be the case even for this class of hotel

Clean and comfortable room. Ideal location, just a block off Corso Umberto and a short walk to the Teatro Antico di Taormina. Breakfast was very good and the views from the fourth floor were amazing. The front desk attendants were very helpful and service was overall great.

Great location, 50 feet away from the main pedestrian areas, Corso Umberto. Comfortable beds. Rooms have been recently renovated. Very helpful and friendly front momdesstaff. Shower needs better cleaning and caulking. Water pressure and temperature is flaunting every minute whe.n Air-conditioning

In theory, this hotel could be great. Aside from the thin walls and uncomfortable beds, it’s in a great location and the staff is very kind and personable. Unfortunately, we had other, avoidable, issues that made our stay unbearable. Our room was infested with small flies and mosquitos that we spent an hour trying to get rid of because the window was left open by the cleaners late at night. The bathroom had black mold covering the walls and left us both coughing and feeling sick whilst in the room. When we requested to get a refund after the first night due to the health hazard and switch to another hotel, they said no but moved us to another room. This room was also infested with mosquitos and had mold on the curtains. Because of this, we had to sleep with masks on to prevent us from coughing while we were in the room. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone going to Taormina.

The property was good and the staff was excellent. Fabiana at front desk was hospitable, respectful and felt like she was family away from home. She has a great work ethic and was very helpful on all our questions. The think that we did not like about the hotel was that our shower floor was stained and looked pretty dirty. It felt very uncomfortable to take a shower in it.
