Great location

Convenient location. Friendly staff. The balcony view of the sea was great. Pool area is refreshing. Room was small with no closet. Great location for a 3 night stay.

We liked the location. Right in the town center. View from rooftop pool was stunning. Giusy, Vincenzo and Fabiana were helpful with all our needs.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in after traveling to over 20 countries. Shameful service. I booked the balcony room on Expedia and the photos all showed the water from the room. This is the reason why I booked the hotel in the first place. When I arrived, I was given a key for the 1st floor and was very confused because the view could not be like what's shown in Expedia from ground level. I ended up being right and the view was of the inner courtyard. So I basically paid extra and wasted money for no reason. With that said, DO NOT SPEND EXTRA ON THE "balcony". On top of that, I left a "room in use" sign on my door and the maid still opened it while I was In the room. I went to reception and complained about this and was gaslighted and told that I had the sign on the "Enter" side, which is completely false, I would never do this. The person at reception was very rude about it and kept insisting that I was in the wrong. Next, I closed the sliding door to my bathroom one night and the door just locked by itself, so I had to call reception to unlock the door. Thank god I was not on the inside, otherwise, I would have been stuck in. Lastly, when I checked out and tried to pay the city tax, the woman at the front desk told me that I can only pay in cash and this was explained to me at check in and written on the reservation. IT WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO ME AT CHECK IN AND IT WAS NOT WRITTEN IN THE RESERVATION. So I had to go take out cash at an ATM for this.

Hotel Piccolo Giardini is a lovely small hotel up 3 flights of stairs from Corso Umberto I. We had a wheelchair user with us and were able to access via the rear entrance on Via Giovanni Bosco where there are 3 or 4 steps down but there is a stairlift and a lift to all floors in which a wheelchair will fit. Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. Rooftop views wonderful. Pool small and very cool but welcome on a hot day. The piccolo giardini is a charming refuge. Staff are friendly but this is more of self service as no bar or restaurant open all day.

Location was perfect, hotel clean and the staff very friendly, attentive and friendly. I would recommend this hotel as a perfect location for any trip. Although be prepared to walk up stairs on a daily basis

Positives included the hotel being in a great, central location - walk straight out of the hotel into the pedestrianised area of Taormina. Breakfast was also good, with a selection of fresh fruit, hot and cold food that you can eat either inside or in the garden. And the staff were friendly and helpful - reception available until midnight and out of hours emergency number provided. They also booked a taxi for us on our last day. Negatives include that the superior double room we booked was fairly small although the balcony was a good size, and the small bathroom was internal to the room with no window. Being internal meant the shower was a bit mouldy and the bathroom also wasn’t very clean when we arrived. We told reception about this and it was addressed but still wasn’t as clean as I would really expect a hotel bathroom to be. We had stayed in two other locations in Sicily before this hotel and both rooms were much cleaner. There is also limited control over the air conditioning - temp can be set but not fan speed etc. it would have been nice to have an individual air con unit in the room that we could control.

This hotel is in a great area and has so much potential with its super friendly staff. The rooms are small and the bathrooms aren’t great. Ours had an awful smell and showering wasn’t a pleasurable experience. Location can’t be faulted though.

Great location in heart of Taormina. Superior bedroom extremely small! Hardly room for suit cases, no wardrobe! Bathroom old and needs updating. Breakfast average. Staff friendly but would not recommend
