Hotel Il Piccolo Giardino

The location and staff were excellent. Being close to the main pedestrian street it did have considerable noise at night and the city began "waking up" around 5:30, which shortened our sleep. Breakfast was also pretty good.

I stayed at Hotel Piccolo in Taormina and unfortunately had a very poor experience from start to finish. We were first placed in Room 108, where the air conditioning unit was leaking, the balcony door wouldn’t lock (which felt unsafe), and the shower backed up with visible mold. We also noticed that walking barefoot in the room left our feet completely black — clearly, the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly. We were then moved to Room 401 on the top floor, but the elevator was broken, so we had to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs. That room smelled strongly of sewage, had urine left in the toilet when we arrived, and the shower gurgled loudly for long periods. Again, our feet turned black walking around the room. After showering, my girlfriend developed a sore throat and wheezing, which we believe was caused by poor air quality or mold. Despite raising these issues with the hotel staff, they refused to offer any refund or take responsibility. With no real solution offered, we ended up booking another hotel across the street for the rest of our stay at our own expense. Taormina is beautiful, but this hotel was a major letdown. Poor hygiene, unclean rooms, and a complete lack of support from staff — I would not recommend Hotel Piccolo to anyone.

Amazing staff and excellent location to all the shopping and restaurants. Very good breakfast options and a wonderful outdoor courtyard to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast. Can’t say enough about how well we were treated and the restaurant recommendations provided. Will be back to Taormina and will definitely be staying at the Hotel Piccolo Giardino.

Really enjoyed staying here. Staff were really friendly when we checked in. Buffet breakfast in the morning was really nice. Left our luggage there on the last day so we could explore. Room was a good size, nice balcony, kept really clean and had a nice shower.

The staff are wonderful and you're at the doorstep of Taormina.

Loved staying here it was close to everything and the staff were very helpful and friendly! I would definitely stay here again.

Have now stayed at this hotel twice. Staff are great location is fantastic.But on this occasion the lift was not working so needed to use the stairs and the rooms are stating to get a little tied.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and Fabiana was an amazing host!!! She recommended places to us and she was super nice and friendly!
