New Flying Horse

Amazing stay. From arriving to leaving there was a very personable service. We booked dinner for the Friday evening and wow it was superb, their Chef certainly tantalises your tastebuds. The room was large and on the road but we didn't hear any traffic at all (even with window open). The stay at the New Flying Horse and dinner just made our anniversary. Oh breakfast - if you like smoked salmon then go for the Michelin Breakfast - the salmon and scrambled eggs are served in a warm croissant - I believe I made an excellent choice on this one.

I wanted somewhere for a night away where I could take the dog, enjoy good food and get a decent night's sleep. I got that and so much more. All the staff were top drawer - especially Nathan who went over and above. Too many hotels settle for adequate hospitality - the New Flying Horse looked after myself and the pup brilliantly. Great beer garden and lucky enough to have dinner and breakfast out on the terrace. Fantastic walk up onto the downs straight from the hotel. Will definitely be back.

This pub/restaurant/hotel was a great find as it achieved all this roles with credits all round. The room was delightful and well equipped. The bar had a good community atmosphere, the evening meal was good and we had a great breakfast. There needs to be a special mention for Nathan who was front of house at every turn and the catalyst for turning the physical aspects into an experience to be remembered.

The hotel is small and friendly with good food and lovely bedrooms. Offering breakfast earlier than 8 would be good for those travelling for work but staff did make me toast to go!

Wonderfully hospitable country pub where nothing is too much trouble for the landlord and the team to make our stay perfect. Fantastic and inventive food- can't wait to return!

The New Flying Horse is a really charming old pub in the delightful village of Wye. The Sunday roast is the best I have eaten and the breakfast rated just as highly. The staff and service are in comparison to a five star hotel. Thoroughly enjoy our stay there and will return one day in the Summer to sit in their beautiful garden and terrace.

If like us you are looking for somewhere nice to stay while travelling to the Eurotunnel, then The New Flying Horse is perfect & a welcome alternative to some of the faceless chain hotel offerings closer to the terminal. We were greeted warmly, given a lovely room which was spacious, clean & comfortable & had an excellent meal in the evening. Make sure that you don’t miss out on the outstanding breakfast! This is definitely our first choice overnight stop on the way to France

Excellent staff that went above and beyond to help. The had great measures in place to be as eco friendly as possible. Parking is great and the beds are the comfiest I’ve slept in in a hotel.
