Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport

I traveled to nearly 20 different countries in the past few years and have had some extraordinary experiences and lodged at some fabulous hotels. I can say without hyperbole that the staff at Homewood Suites were on par with the best of them in terms of friendliness and providing a feeling that they "saw us" and wanted us to have a positive experience. This was not one person but everyone we interacted with from "Ky" who checked us in, Jackie the breakfast manager, Angela in laundry, every front desk worker and all members of the team we saw. I hesitated in naming these people by name because I know I'm leaving many of their team members out. Simply stating "Kudos" to you all....thanks for a positive experience.

Jackie who does the food is the absolute best 13/10 stars. I have stayed at a ton of hiltons traveling for work and never eat the food. However, this is the best food I’ve ever had. Breakfast tacos are amazing and the salsa verde they have is amazing! She’s made this trip amazing! My only complaint is with the housekeeping staff. They don’t clean up your rooms unless you request it which I’ve never even heard of because the Hilton policy is every other day on extended stays. I got bit by something on my toe three times at once by some critter in my room and I attribute that to their lack of care for the rooms. Attacked a photo.

Quiet location, staff was really nice

The keys weren’t working the whole time we stayed, the conditioner was so loud that you couldn’t keep it on all night. There is no restaurant onsite.

The fitness room was very nice. I did not care to be served pork tacos for breakfast.

the room could have been. The ceiling fan needed to be dusted. I also could not find a cart for my luggage and the staff did not seem motivated to find one.

The lobby was well maintained. The staff was professional but not overly welcoming. The coffee was good.

The side entry doors were not functional for entry. There was no remote control for the TV in the bedroom of my suite. The thermostat could not be changed.

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel. The room was dirty and couch had stains on it. There was dried food and grease along the wall in the kitchenette, the drawers in the 2 dressers that doubled as tv stands would not stay closed, and the ice bucket was so filthy that we had to have it replaced. Have NEVER experienced a Homewood Suites like this. Overall very shabby and definitely in need of deep cleaning

Room 418 has badly torn curtains that when opened can see how bad they are turned. The bathroom side tile by bathtub was out.
