Hampton Inn & Suites Florence-North-I-95

Loved the location, the size and comfort of the room, and the excellent breakfast provided. Staff were also excellent!

We exercise regularly and when we travel, we always select a hotel that provides an adequately stocked gym for us to stay there. We were extremely unhappy with the gym on the premises. Since we stayed here last year, it appears over the course of the past year the gym has deteriorated significantly. This is a major hotel selection criteria for us. Due to my orthopedic issues I can only use bikes to perform aerobic activity. The panel on the 1 recumbent bike did not work making it impossible to use. The dumbbell rack was missing 1 five pound dumbbell and both 10 pounders not allowing my wife to perform resistance exercise. Lastly, the knob on the adjustable bench was broken causing it to be stuck in the upright position severely limiting its use. Inadequacy of your gym will probably give us pause in selecting this hotel again for our future travels through South Carolina.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Stokes Road in Florence, SC, and unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience. The heat in my room was not working at all, which made for an extremely uncomfortable night — especially considering the temperature dropped to 25°. I was cold for most of the night and eventually had to contact the front desk. Maintenance did come, but it took quite a while for the heat to actually kick in. Customer service at the front desk was also less friendly than expected, which added to the frustration. The room itself felt very outdated, including the wall-mounted heating and AC unit, which seems unreliable and in need of modernization. This experience was disappointing, especially because I’ve had much better experiences at other Hilton properties. I expect consistency across the brand regardless of location, and this stay did not meet those expectations. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this property again.

My shower faucet was not working and I was unable to shower in the morning

Dirty & worn carpet, shower floor dirty, shower handle very loose & would not stay in place so either cold or very hot water, telephone did not work so you could not call front desk, no signs from 95 to hotel. Breakfast was good. Left message with General Manager & no response.

Nous avons réservé la chambre à l’avance mais à notre arrivée 17:30 après 12 heures de route la chambre n’était pas prête!

The breakfast was good the variety of food was great!

I wish the coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby were a little warmer, but that is a minor issue
