Hyatt Place Richmond Airport

This place was disappointing. Most of the people who work here that I talk to were nice, and there was a sidewalk that was pleasant to walk on. Even though the street is by is very busy there was a kind of a sidewalk trail with About 10 to 20 feet of grass between the sidewalk and the street so that was nice. However, there were a lot of things wrong here and it is not just because they were doing work in the place. Two out of three of their luggage racks were flat tire. When I checked in, I left one by the front desk and I said this has a flat tire and it’s very hard to steer. Obviously they put it right back out with the other ones and nobody did anything about it. I was there for four nights. Every shower I took was in cold water and I am not exaggerating. The most I could say is that it was lukewarm at the beginning by the end and I mean after like two minutes, it was cool. I was freezing by the time I got out of the shower. And it was like this for every shower. There was something wrong with the thermostat. It automatically reset to 68° about every hour. It was constantly blowing way too cold of air. 68 might sound OK but trust me it’s not. That air conditioner is about 12 inches away from the bed and it grows blows freezing air All night. I would wake up and reset the thermostat a few times during the night and about hourly during the day. I tried doing all different kinds of settings also and nothing worked to keep it off of 68°. I was unable to log into Wi-Fi one morning for about an hour. When I added an extra date to my stay, I had to go to the front desk three times to get new keys because their system was down. And I know they’re doing work here and I’m not taking any points off for that, but the guys who were working outside had Spanish music blasting really loud in the machine that lifts a person up to do work. I don’t know what they’re called. It’s like an elevator on the end of a stick and a person rides in the elevator. But that music was really blasting and they worked outside of my room for a while. I just got a general feeling that customer service and customer Comfort were not concerns here. In fact when I stopped to tell the front desk lady that the second cart that I grabbed also had flat tires she didn’t reply to me. She looked at me and I repeated what I said because I thought maybe she didn’t hear me and she looked back at what she was working on. Compared to other Hyatt places, this is probably in the bottom 25%. I do not recommend this place.

Tiene una buena ubicación, la habitación asignada fue muy grande, muy espaciosa y cómoda.

El hotel tiene unas instalacionas, que aunque están en perfectas condiciones, con viejas. El hotel está en remodelación en el piso 7, espero que quede muy bueno.

Safe location, cozy beds, pet friendly.

Shower water was cold. The shower water would not get hot. We ran the shower water for 5 minutes waiting for it to at least get warm, and the water remained cold. The shower had some sort of permanent stain in the tub. Overall the bathroom was dingy.
