Volcano Village Lodge

The room was beautiful and relaxing. I wanted to spend time there! Everything seemed well thought out so the small details made it quite a special experience. The bed and linens were great, the fruit was lovely, and the coffee/tea with the table set was welcoming. I could warm up quickly if it got chilly, and the private patio with rocking chairs was a nice way to enjoy coffee at dawn.

Beautiful, clean, quiet, highly recommended. Nice picnic lunches to go.

The location was great. It's very close to Volcanoes National Park as well as a fairly easy drive from Hilo and Kona. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful and more than we could eat. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Carlos and John were great! They booked a Hula dance instructor (Kumu Male) for our family to have a private lesson. This cultural experience greatly exceeded our expectations. Our daughters absolutely loved it. If you are looking for a great place to stay near Volcano don't look any farther.

Do not miss staying at Volcano Village! The room was beautiful and had all conveniences. The porch had 2 rocking chairs, I spent time in the morning drinking coffee on the porch and a glass of wine in the evening! Bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Do not hesitate to book when you read no TV - they have a DVD player in the room and a section of DVD's in the office. One thing to note - the Customer Service was excellent above and beyond expectation. I received several text messages double checking on me to make sure I had what I needed. After a long day of driving, I received a text - Do you need anything? Yes, can you please put some wine in my room? Trust me the wine was there and I was relieved as the stores closest to the Lodge have a lot to be desired - very little to offer at high prices. The breakfast provided was amazing. I'm not telling you what was served - you need to Easy to heat up in the microwave and included fresh fruit. Co go there and find out! You will not be disappointed! Coffee maker with coffee in the room. I would love to go back and stay again. One last thing - office staff was so friendly and really made me feel at home! To receive text messages to double check that I have what I needed was a wonderful added bonus and experience.

Great spot! Will be back. Everything was amazing. If I was nit picking, walls are a tad thin between the bathrooms. We could hear our neighbor a few times. Everything else was lovely.

I loved our beautiful cabin and the people working there were amazing. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

The price was very high and I wish I had stayed at a cheaper accommodation, all things considered. I thought the cabin was in the national park itself, so thought the price was appropriate, but when I realized we were very close but not actually inside the park, I was disappointed. I wasn’t familiar enough with the area, which is my own responsibility. The hot tub would have been perfect, but it was very cloudy and dirty looking.

A nice place, but limited check in times. Property a bit remote. . Room a bit damp,,, so had to use dehumidifier (which wasn’t on the hotel description!!!!!). Not high on the list to return to.

The bungalow was gorgeous. The loft attic offers a beautiful tranquility.

The space smells very moldy. My whole family got sick by the end of our two-night stay. There was also no way to properly heat up the space without the fireplace, and the fireplace seemed to worsen the moldy smell. Without the moldy smell this would have been a perfect stay.
